Seeing how well received the upcoming Women's Tournament is, I am going to be hosting my own tournament as well which is also focused on a subset of people. I myself am a gay African American living in Chicago. I would love the opportunity to bring together this underrepresented part of our community so that we can appreciate diversity as well as have a platform to connect and gayme.
So here's the details. I am currently setting up the tournament on Battlefy. Sometime early next week (I suspect Monday), I will be posting the official bracket sign up. The format will be similar to Warpmetas: 3 decks 1 ban. There will also be a losers bracket. Participants will be vetted over Discord or our Facebook group.
This tournament WILL be dedicated to Gay Black Men in North America but I realize it may be a smaller subset who play this game. So after they get priority sign ups, the next availability will be to all colored people all around the world as well as lgbtqiapk. This refers to lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgendereds, queers, intersex, asexuals, pansexuals, and I forget what the K stands for but you are welcome too. We'll see where the tournament numbers are after this, but I am hoping for up to 32 people, but will settle for 16 if necessary.
I look forward to answering any questions you may have over the weekend, and be sure to pay special attention to Monday or Tuesday. Here's to hoping our fab community manager joins the tournament!
