Warframe

Thanks to DE for keeping my spirits up.

Hi, everyone. I wanted to share a little story with you.

Firstly I’m Jamie, I’m 22 and I live in the UK. I’ve been playing Warframe on and off for the last few years, getting really into it before POE dropped on PC. My friend recommended it to me as a free, fun game that can take a lot off your mind. That part was crucial for me since I’ve been dealing with Crohn’s disease for a while and the stress and pain of it didn’t make me happy. The last 3 years have been super hard on my physical and mental health, but Warframe was something I didn’t know I needed at the time, which I have started to realise over the last few weeks.

To be honest, it took a while to get used to with the controls at the start, and I wasn’t really feeling it. That’s until I started to play The Second Dream. That quest really blew me away and I won’t post spoilers for obvious reasons but that’s the part that made me care of the universe DE was setting up for 4 years at that point.

Flash forward to now, I’ve been trying to be more active within the community, hang out in relays and try to help newer players out as my friend helped me. Whenever you have someone to help you at the start, it does wonders for the new player’s morale. I’ve even made a few short gifs based on Mirage, Megan, Danielle, Rebecca and Steve from the streams that they have done over the last few weeks, slowly working on the animation I have in mind for Warframe. I’m currently in hospital as I type this so it’ll be a while before I can show you guys what I have done but it’s a passion project of mine.

DE always make me feel so special when they thank me for the gifts I’ve made for them, and always take their time to say hi to me during their streams when I catch them. Thank you so much for making an incredible game with a wonderful community who are always helping each other out when they need it.

Read:  With every new player I've tried to get into the game I encounter the same problem; they claim the game is repetitive or has nothing for them to do.
