Hey fellas, so this is the first time ive actually prepared well in advance for a League SBC and i'm really looking forward to EA dropping it soon.
In my excitement i decided to do a short analysis on players to expect as a reward.
Firstly, the EPL is a top league: well supported/watched/followed. Taking this into account and comparing with Calcio A and Ligue 1 SBC players since the French & Italian are also top leagues.
Calcio A : 87 rated Dzeko & Skriniar (both NIFs 85)
Ligue 1 : 86 rated Depay & 87 FloTov. (NIFs 83 & 84)
So making an assumption that the EPL SBC players will be rated 86-87… and their current NIFs will be at 84-85.
So we use FUTBIN to filter the players in this range. NIF, Gold rares in the EPL rated 84-85.
So some players we can rule out for certain reasons:
Sterling (likely POTM winner)
VVD/Fabinho (expensive NIFs and considered OP)
Mahrez (has 4 special cards)
We also need to take into account that EA will have to put out some enticing players for people to actually complete the SBC.. some players have been underwhelming to say the least.
So here are my predictions for each positions:
ATTACKERS: Lacazette / Heung-Min Son
MIDFIELDERS: Dele Alli / Dembélé / Cesc Fabregas
DEFENDERS: Alderweireld / Walker
GKs: Schemeichel (unlikely they choose GKs, my opinion is that they aren't too enticing)
Next section: You might have noticed that Depay's NIF is 83 rated but he's popular player.
So we hop onto FUTBIN again and try to filter 82/83 NIF rare gold sorted by popularity.
again some players likely to be in the mix based on this search criteria:
Juan Mata as CAM
Final closing thoughts, it is unlikely to be player having his first season in the Premier League. Likely to be a player who may not get many informs throughout the course of the season. Possible combination might be one winger and one midfielder or one striker and one defender.
Anyways i'm just shit excited and glad to have gotten all the teams done under 190k. Whenever i get too excited i try to remind myself that player card stats don't mean nothing. Remember that Hashtag Harry went 30-0 in the Weekend league with a bronze team.
