On this day (October 26) in Nintendo history…
Donkey Kong Junior was released in 1982 for the Game & Watch New Wide Screen in Japan. In this action game, developed by Nintendo R&D1, Mario has captured Donkey Kong, and it's up to his son, Donkey Kong Jr., to run through the jungle, collect Mario's keys and free his father. DK Jr. has to dodge Snapjaws by jumping and grabbing the vines as he moves up the stage. Once he reaches the top, time his jump to grab the key swinging on the vine. The level will then restart with part of Donkey Kong's cage removed.
Marvelous: Mōhitotsu no Takarajima was released in 1996 for the Super Famicom in Japan. In this action/adventure/role-playing game, developed by Nintendo R&D2, many years ago, when the seas were ruled by the pirates, Captain Maverick was the worst of them. It is said he left an astounding treasure hidden on an island filled with traps and puzzles. The time of the pirates ended. Now three boys, Dion, Max and Jack, are camping on an island.

Luckily for Captain Olimar, the planet is inhabited by strange little creatures, called Pikmin. Pikmin are plant-like life forms that come in three different colours red, yellow and blue.
Otona no Joushikiryoku Training DS was released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS in Japan.
