Game Modes

Story Mode: Rise to the Championship- You're a Rookie(Mii) that wants to play Gridiron Football with Mario & his friends, but someone starts sabotaging the games, you journey through the season and the evidence points toward Bowser(of course).

You choose to join either Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Wario, Waluigi, Yoshi, DK, Diddy, Shokora, Mona or King Boo’s team to start your journey, you go and befriend the other captains to have them join you.

However when you go to Defeat Bowser he offers you a chance to join him, if you say no then you challenge his team. But if you join Bowser you play against Mario & his friends, both endings will unlock Bowser, Sumo Bro & Bowser Stadium.

• Rosalina, Pauline, King K. Rool, Petey, Bowser Jr, Zelda, Link, Marth, Lucina, Samus, Pauline, Kirby & King Dedede are unavailable to play as in Story Mode.

Exhibition Mode- Play an exhibition match, you can choose up to 9 Captains as teammates for your’s and your opponents teams.

Season Mode- Choose 8, 12, 18, 24 or 28 Captains to go against in a season where you’ll pay all the other captains. If you Choose only 8 or 12 Captains then you can have Captains that you didn’t choose to play against on your team.

Challenge Mode- Challenge Captains to unlock them and sidekicks on their teams.

Challenge

Bowser Jr’s Challenge- Face off against the Bowser Jr Rookies in a 3 minute, 1 quarter game. If you win you unlock Bowser Jr & Dry Bones: Difficulty- Rookie.

Pauline’s Challenge- Face Pauline in a 6 minute, 2 quarter game and if you win then you unlock Pauline, Lochlady & New Donk City: Difficulty- Rookie.

Rosalina’s Challenge- Face Rosalina in a 8 minute, 3 quarter game and if you win then you unlock Rosalina, Luma & Cosmic Field: Difficulty- Veteran.

Petey’s Challenge- Your team is losing 28-0 and you have 2 Quarters with 7 minutes in each to make up the deficit and win the game. If you succeed then you’ll unlock Petey, Pianta & Isle Delfino: Difficulty- Superstar.

King K. Rool’s Challenge- Your team is leading 24-21 with 1 minute left in the game and King K. Rool’s team has the ball on their 40 yard line with One Timeout left. Don’t allow them to win the game, if you succeed then you’ll unlock King K. Rool, Kritter & Crocodile Island: Difficult- Legend.

Points Scoring

How each side of the ball Scores Points

Offense Point Scoring

• Touchdown– Getting in the endzone by either passing or running is 6 points.
• Extra Point Conversion– after scoring a Touchdown you can attempt a 1, 2 or 3 point conversion.
• A 1 point conversion is kicking from the 2 yard line.
• A 2 point conversion is Throwing or Running from the 6 yard line.
• A 3 point conversion is Throwing or Passing from the 10 yard line.
• Field Goal–
• Making a kick from 1-20 yards away on 4th down is 2 points
• Making a kick from 21-45 yards away on 4th down 3 points.
• Making a kick from 46-69 yards away on 4th down 4 points.
• You probably won’t make a kick from 70 plus yards, if you do then 5 points.

Defense Point Scoring

• Regular Interception & Fumble Recovery- By simply getting an Interception or fumble Recovery is 1 point.
• Pick 6 & Fumble Recovery Touchdown– Returning an Interception or fumble to the Endzone is 6 points.
• Safety- Tacking an Offensive Player with the Football in their endzone will get you 2 points.
