Hey there!

I knew of the Quick Swap weapon bug for awhile, but have thankfully never experienced it. Until this morning.

The only changes that happened last night right before I got off, was upgrading two of my weapons to Primed Receivers, which now requires Ultracite Ammo. This kind of clicked for me, as something a bit too coincidental. Especially once I tossed my normal ammo back to my STASH before I started today.

Summary

The current Quick Swap bug happens if a user is carrying a Primed Weapon in their inventory, along with Ultracite Ammo for that specific weapon.

The only way around this issue, is by carrying at least 1 unit of Ammo for the weapon, that is not Ultracite. This will prevent your Quick Swap from breaking. This can be seen down below. I recommend doing this for every Primed/Ultracite weapon you use.

This video clip showcases the first test.

I have my two Primed Gatling Plasma weapons, with only Ultracite Ammo in my Inventory. As you can see, when trying to swap between the weapons, they will immediately switch to my Fists and refuse to change back.

This video clip showcases the second test.

With the same Prime Gatling Plasma weapons, I have added a Normal Plasma Core to my Inventory and nothing more. With this in my inventory, I can now freely swap between my Quick Swap choices.

This video clip showcases me carrying Normal + Ultracite Ammo for my Handmade that is Primed.

Notice that I have the Quick Swap bug only when I am NOT carrying the Normal Ammo as well. I drop it and pick it back up a few times, to show that only when the Normal Ammo is also in my inventory, is the bug not present.

Note: You can also briefly see that my 5.56 + Ultracite 5.56 shows as selected with my Handmade equipped. It appears that the game assumes that both are being utilized. This may demonstrate the game has a misunderstanding and will not associate an active ammo type for the gun you want to Quick Swap too if it's Primed.

These two videos showcase that without Normal Ammo, it will force you to another Weapon to Quick Swap with. For those who maybe run 2 weapons, and pick up a random weapon – you may experience Quick Swap with the Normal + Random Weapon.

Also if you only have 3 weapons, losing the Normal Ammo will force you to Swap between any weapons that are not Primed and use Ultracite.

If there are any questions, let me know – and I'll try to fit in more tests later.
