Now, I suppose all things considered, materials, weapons, and the approx. 15 minutes of me holding an absurd amount of nuka quantum, I may have exceeded 100,000 rare items; though I highly doubt it, especially considering the time constraint of one month.
So there you have it: My confession. I bought and sold weapons from an official fallout subreddit that actively weeded out dupers and was pranked with 50k quantums worth of weight. Were the weapon transactions a bad idea? For sure. Do I deserve to be banned for them? Thats open to debate, though I say no.
But why the hell am I banned NOW? I am being stripped of access to my atomic shop purchases (which I made with real money) and $80 game I purchased over this. The email I received says I will be able to access the game again when the issues are resolved… were the duping issues not fixed one or two patches ago? Or was that just another fresh load of bullshit?
Is there a timeline for this supposed fix-all patch? It better be soon because when I have time in a few days I’ll be selling this barnyard explosion of a game and canceling my Rage 2 pre-order if I don’t get an idea of how long I am to be without my profile. It is crazy that a company I once respected could screw things up this badly. I would be happy to talk to someone on customer support, but they have all but built a wall around their support department to keep people out. If you want to punish me for what you think I did, fine, but don’t give me this cryptic copy and paste response. People keep saying “show me evidence proving you were not cheating”. Well, perhaps its time Bethesda shows me the proof justifying this ban since all there email says is that they have “data”.
I’m sure no moderator will even bother to read this, everyone affiliated with Bethesda seems to give less than two shits about players, nevertheless, u/BethesdaGameStudios_ I’m tagging you here in hopes you will realize that I am not the only one debating whether I should tell everyone I know of this game’s fuckery so they refrain from buying any more of your games full price in the future. I’ll be sure to submit a support ticket and tag you on twitter so everyone can see how you ignore legitimate questions with simple fixes.
I don’t wish to come off as rude and malicious, but it is beyond frustrating to be locked away from hours upon hours of my work over this. Mistakes were made, I get it — if they need to temp ban a lot of people to get rid of the serious problems, fine. But the lack of information and consideration for the players they are screwing over without providing any of their own evidence is breathtakingly upsetting. I’d love to say i expect this issue to be dealt with… but I don’t. Nevertheless, I’d be a fool for not trying. The bottom line is that I have legitimately played this game for a great deal of time. These bogus bans need to be resolved immediately. Not in a future patch, not in a few weeks, RIGHT. NOW.
Pardon me if my thoughts seem scattered to you. I believe time is of the essence here and I am, needless to say, quite pissed.
TL;DR: I’ve been banned like many others. I question the legitimacy of the ban and would like to learn exactly what items I held that breached Bethesda’s terms of service. I am urging Bethesda to correct these bans ASAP, or at least give us a timeline on when we can expect to play again.
