Let you all know, I'm a soldier in the US army and I have seen plenty of stuff around me for a few years. Some these are from being in the rear or in combat. I have never shot at anyone or killed anyone. No the military is not like call of duty or any of these games all the way. Granted yes we do some drills but it's not the same in video games. We also clean, work on our vehicles, and have to do classes for lots of things not related to combat. But we do some cool things like throwing live grenades, do low crawls under Barb wires, learn to carry battle buddies who are injured, and so on.
Warning: This is me being opened minded and so e ideas may sound silly but think of them as an alternative to some things we normally use and run out of. Survival mode will make us drop aid items and if you drop that one item you need, you have to fall back onto an alternate item or tactic.
I'm aware everyone says the C.A.M.P. is mobile but many want it as a stationary placement. The T.E.N.T. will use a tent, sleeping bag, and any small tools to craft and modify stuff with whatever items you have on you and in you stash box (unless you want it to be just stuff on you only). Please understand that this could tie in with the back pack system for mobility.
We could use ideas from military to add to the excitement and to allow us to use in both adventure and survival mode.
These ideas will be added over time and updated if you all keep this Reddit post going. I need as many ideas as possible. They can also give a challenge.
I have talked to another solider who plays the game in my unit and have removed or added ideas that would do well for the game.
T.E.N.T. (mobile C.A.M.P.)
Use of pots, tools, and other small items to repair at the T.E.N.T.
Attachments to helmets (night vision goggles)
CBRN equipment (military style)
Gas mask filter replacements and hazmat repair kits. (Items for it would be sparse.)
Patrol caps (cadet hats)
Ability to carry fallen team mates or random players from enemies before patching them up
CB Radios used for communication on the server for tactics or advertising location.
Bunkers that are four floor levels below surface with one floor above ground with a height of two floor levels.
Camps that are already four floor levels above surface with one floor below group with a height of two floor levels.
Watch towers with a 1×1 or 2×2 foundation and two floor levels for the Crow's nest.
