Greeting all new (and old) players of the game known as Save the World. The game has several husks and so I'm making this guide as a way for you to understand how to deal with these foes better. If you know their strengths and weaknesses, then you can deal with them better.

The Types of Husks

First up on the list is our standard husk. If the storm had an army, which it does, then this would be the infantry, the foot soldier, they really have no distinct advantage or disadvantage. Their motto as the game says is "Swarm and Destroy".

Next up are the more bodily and tankier husks, known as the husky. They tend to have more health than the normal husks and attacks a tad slower, but still pose a threat.

A special subtype of the husky is the chrome husk. they are notorious husks that are denoted by their silver metal coloration and unqiue ability that if not destroyed using weapons of the fire or water variety can get up after being down for several seconds. They only appear during the Blockbuster event line and as minibosses become one of the hardest husks to get rid of.

Now for one of the first husks that don't come right up to you and attack you, rather they stand back and throw bones at you. These pitcher husks, looking like baseball players, throw purple bones at you. These bones can go on indefinitely until they hit something. They tend to have lower health than regular husks so they go down much faster.

https://preview.redd.it/qry6q2kl0wc51.png?width=374&format=png&auto=webp&s=3adb3c3a737a61e896adcfa8c433013a20e86cd6

A subtype of this husk known as the villager husk, replaces the pitcher in dungeons.

Next up is a normal husk with a beehive on their head. This beehive husk leaves a trail of bees around the area it walks, dealing damage every second to players in its cloud. You can shoot the beehive on it's head to reveal a honey drenched husk.

https://preview.redd.it/wklbv5f6tvc51.png?width=184&format=png&auto=webp&s=150e1eaa47cf88132ffc38daecc4e7cb9ea69263

Next is one of the most annoying of the normal husks, the Lobbers. these female appearance husks throw stuff at they player, which can prove a hindrance to deal with. There is actually two subtypes of these husks. They can be denoted by which type by the flames on their head. The yellow ones throw beehives which act like the beehive husks. these can be broken with a pickaxe or melee weapon or disappear naturally after about 20-30 seconds. The purple flames are the more annoying ones. Throwing a head similar to its own, it climbs high into the sky and lands down on builds, damaging them. There are several counters to them, but they are the most annoying when it comes to defending against them.

https://preview.redd.it/x8mcveettvc51.png?width=315&format=png&auto=webp&s=c76de880b391cb9288f28632ac56c83d63c29e46

Of course the game decides player have too much power with buildings, so the game throws a Sploder at you, a husky with a propane tank. The propane tank has an explosive power that can wreck player built tunnels. You can blow these up prematurely by shooting them. This also gets rid of the husk at the same time. Upon throwing it, the husk comtinues to act like a husky. You can tell the difference between a husky and a sploder as sploders wear red shirts.

And if that wasnt enough, weapons are so OP, they throw husks at you called riot husks. hoisting a riot shield, any frontward attacks are all but eliminated, by getting to the side or shooting the small opening in the shield, you can take care of this husk. The shield doubles as a knockback tool, knocking players back and resetting any reloading of weapons or heavy attacks of melee weapons.

The husks also have a medic husk, who heals all husks in a radius. They can sidestep to try and avoid attacks from players. In swarms of husks, experienced players tend to go after these husks first to make sure the other don't heal making any damage useless.

There is a smaller version of the husks, known as huskings or as i refer to them as ankle biters. These small husks move faster than their fellow husks and can leap at you hurting you a bit. they also attack fairly fast, but have some of the lowest health of husks.

Now for the last of the standard husks, is the zapper. These cowboy themed husks aim at the player and charge up, with near pinpoint precision accuracy. In other words, they hit almost 100% of the time. As long as you don't get within range, they will act like normal husks, until they start shooting that is.

https://preview.redd.it/j4ufsr7xxvc51.png?width=171&format=png&auto=webp&s=f790d5d9ff875f54901694c3a0fb0e37d7f2e0e9

They have a space variant that appears sometimes, but most of the time during the beyond the stellar horizon and hit the road quest lines being active.

One of the rarest of the normal husks is the mimic. These husks hide as a normal looking level 3 chest but then pop out and attack the player. If you defeat it, it can drop a lot of loot.

Mist Monsters

Mist monsters are the husks that are made of the storm itself. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are seen at all power levels.

Shielders are the most common of the mist monster family. They float around husks, giving them shields and make them tanky. They can be shot to to make them lose hold. But if you kill their host husk, they'll stick onto a nearby husk if ther is one. The normal ones stick to an individual husk, while their purple brothers make a small dome, which blocks all ranged weapon hits. Shooting the shield enough though makes the shield disappear and they drop down to recharge.

Left regular shielder. Right dome shielder.

Trolls are kinda annoying. They hide under blue glo and steal it. Players then have to damage the troll as it pop in and out of holes to make it drop the blue glo. It can trick the player by putting up cardboard cutouts of itself or even bombs.

https://preview.redd.it/4ns167unzvc51.png?width=596&format=png&auto=webp&s=c9187899b95e15a2cef62bf1f5878917283cf98a

Next is the infamous smasher, which you have probably seen before. This mist monster marches along and has several attacks. The first and most well known is the charge. It roars and charges forward, going several tiles and damaging low health builds until it runs out of steam or hits a build or terrain it can't break. It then takes a few seconds to catch its breath. It can also swing its arm to deal damage to the player in front of it. It can also jump to deal damage in the immediate area. It also has more health than a husky, so good luck trying to take out a miniboss smasher.

Next is the larger brother of the troll, the taker, these aerial mist monsters take to the skies, swooping down to deal massive amounts of damage to the player's shield. And if you hid in your builds, it will just make a portal to go through, which other husks can use as well. Rumor has it that miniboss takers at the high power levels can one shot even the most experienced players.

https://preview.redd.it/i9e8ni0y0wc51.png?width=184&format=png&auto=webp&s=1ff595ec15b960bc270b46fd23c783bd443da477

Next is the blaster, These mist monsters are one of the most common mist monsters after shielders. If you get close, they can use their long arms to swipe at you. And if you are at a distance, well then good luck. They fire multiple blasts, getting more and more accurate as they keep shooting. Ninjas can leap around avoiding most of their shots. If you don't have anything to put between you and the blasters, you're gonna take a lot of damage.

Last is the mist monster known as flingers. these mist monsters take it to a whole new level, flinging stuff like lobbers, but live ammuntions. That's right, they fling other husks. They summon these husks out of nowhere and throw them over most of your defenses. If you build your defense right, you can discourage these flingers from throwing husks at all.

Did I say that was the last? No, because we have one last more, the king of the monsters, the Storm King Himself! How to defeat him is another blog all on its own, and this post is long enough. Luckily he only is in two missions and never appears elsewhere…

And that does it for this blog for beginners. If you have questions, you can put them below and have it answered. If you have any correction, let me know. Until the next post. Good luck commanders.
