Okay so all constructors know the annoyance of having some random camping your B.A.S.E. whether or not it generates mats and not contributing to building or upgrading.
So my idea is to have the B.A.S.E. use generated mats to auto upgrade buildings and only when there is nothing left to upgrade then it produces mats. As for the way it upgrades the pieces it starts upgrading at a 90 degree angle from where the B.A.S.E. is placed and then another 90 degree angle to the right as it expands.Maybe it could have a more advanced perk where if a wall is broken and the B.A.S.E. has the mats available it instantly upgrades any building placed to tier 3
I am basing this idea off the way i play constructor. Being that when a match starts i find the objective. Then clear the area and start building walls and upgrade everything to tier 2 place my B.A.S.E. After that i go farm back my mats and do my dailies an get bluglo. When i get back it plays out one of two ways either my B.A.S.E. is full or generating mats and people have added to the base or its empty and nothing has been done to the base.
What does the new recycling perk do? how does it help with B.A.S.E. campers?. Well first of all this stops B.A.S.E. campers if they want any mats they have to upgrade the whole base to tier 3. Then they are more than welcome to any mats generated. If your playing a long game this new perk allows you to get in more farming while actively making your base stronger. This in turn helps any constructors with electric floors by making their floors tier up. This also puts a dent it the argument that the recycling perk is selfice. since if you did not build the base you get no passive resources for putting yours down but actually make their base better.
TL;DR Have the B.A.S.E. use generated mats to auto upgrade buildings and only after there is nothing left to upgrade then give out mats. Maybe it could have a more advanced perk where if a wall is broken and the B.A.S.E. has the mats available it instantly upgrades any building placed to tier 3 only within 2 to 3 tiles of the B.A.S.E. .
