Let me start this post with a story: I was playing in a PL 64 Deliver the Bomb mission. I didn't know this when I joined the mission but I was matched up with a group of 3. Since I was the lowest PL in the mission and there was a constructor, I decided the best use of my time was to gather bluglo and get the boosts since my teammates were off doing their own thing. I noticed the constructor was downed by a blaster near me, so I went to assist him. I killed the blaster and then revived him. He then proceeded to shoot at the building boost nearby since he must have noticed that I had enough bluglo for boosts. I deposited and then he promptly went back to the launcher and finished up building. After laying down tracks and delivering the bomb, they started setting up boxes and funnels. The key part though is they didn't trap them and I was getting worried that we would hit the build limit. Luckily, they didn't but then the constructor asked if the group was ready. They all said yes and I had no choice but to agree. As soon as the launcher was activated, I noticed them quickly spread out and trap their respective tunnels. I also noticed that the build limit badge was awarded at the end of the match even though I was pretty sure that we exceeded it by a lot.
Epic, right now your community is split into two sides regarding this: those who care about build limit and those who don't. I think it would benefit both sides if all missions with build limits were treated like DtB. I like being able to setup a quick funnel on an unprotected side during a rotating storm or just having some walls to protect myself from those pesky blasters.
TL;DR: Build limit should only apply before pre-combat. During combat, would be fun to let all hell break loose in terms of building.
