Hoping for this to be a discussion rather than a rant,… Sorry if this gets a little long winded.
I really like this game, but I've just hit a level of frustration I don't know how to get past anymore. I like building, I like using traps, I like doing both of those things together in an efficient way to clear each level.
Unfortunately, the matchmaking is no longer my friend when it comes to playing this game. I have been trying for about an hour to do a mission, and I can't get a single teammate that even meets the level to join. (34 Plank mission,… only sometimes with the boost do they hit that) No only are they not helpful, they spend the entire mission trading, harassing, and otherwise NOT doing the objective. We all know this is happening, but what can WE do about it? Why are level 12 characters in a 34 mission?
If I decide to go forward and do the mission, I am the ONLY one spending mats for the entire duration of the match. After just a couple of missions, I need to spend a ridiculous amount of time farming again to recover these. I enjoy this part of the game as well, but the complete lack of participation by anyone else is really souring me on the game. At the end of the match, everyone is getting the same rewards, whether they helped or not.
I would really like to see a system that rewards players for ACTUALLY playing the game. Knowing that there would be extra rewards might be the incentive people need to start participating, or at least it would reduce the burden on those of us that have to carry them every single match.
As I said at the beginning, I really do like the game, but this issue will eventually be what makes me leave the game. I play a game because it is enjoyable, and when it no longer becomes that there is no reason to continue. The community in general is extremely toxic, but simply getting a rewards or player rating system in place would go a long ways towards matching like-minded players.
Sorry for the wall of text,… just really frustrated.
TLDR: Players are not playing the game, How can we reward the players who are playing.
