Let people do their quests. Stop being drama queens.

FortniteBattleRoyale1 - Let people do their quests. Stop being drama queens.

I've been playing this game a lot over the years, and one thing I've noticed is that people are very quick to call you a "leech" and threaten to report you, while insulting you and preaching about how you're "ruining the game."

This needs to stop. It's rude and stupid and really cringy. Some of us, perhaps even most of us are out there trying to get quest objectives done. Some of us are also courteous enough to mention that we're doing so, even politely asking to be excused for a few moments, so we can find an object to break, a location to visit or a spot to deploy an item so we can advance our quests.

Most quests require 1 to 3 missions to complete, depending on the quest type and how lucky you are. In my many years of playing this game I can easily say that on average, story and event quests require 2 missions to complete. And your average mission takes 10 to 15 minutes, give or take. It also only really takes a few minutes on average to clear a map of quest objectives. Tell me, would it be fair if you were forced to spend time doing an extra mission or two just to finish a single quest, all because someone wanted to rush the objective? Of course it wouldn't. Now I'm not saying anyone's time is more valuable than anyone else's, but being courteous enough to give someone a few moments to find their quest stuff is fair.

What bothers me the most about all this is that people tend to complain even when the mission is going by smoothly. In my last mission, I was looking for quest stuff along with another player. I'm not sure who started the mission objective, but one player was kind and mostly silent while the other was preachy and obnoxious. The two who were defending the ATLAS were doing just fine, the kind one said they didn't need help and we're free to get our quests done. But the preachy one went off and threatened to report us, to which me and the other questing player responded with "Good luck with that" at the same time. I even managed to get my quest done fast enough to help defend the ATLAS for a good 4 minutes or so.

Honestly, just don't be that guy who complains about non-issues and threatens to report everyone. Let people do their quests. Stop being drama queens. I've been reported a lot by these types of people a lot over the years and I've never been punished for it. Wanna know why? Because Epic knows better than to trust people who are trigger-happy with the report button. Don't tell us to play solo just because we wanna get our quests done. If you wanna do the mission and ONLY the mission? Then YOU play solo. If you don't like it, deal with it. Because quests are very rewarding and everyone has them. They're also faster to do with other players.
