I've been a Beetlejess lovin Ranger main ever since the FIRST Fortnitemares And up to 8.0 I used a Double-Ranger build: Beetlejess with Deadeye in support. While I switched to Deadeye post 8.0 because he seems to work slightly better with my pistols as currently perked, I am still fond my Pistol Packin Mama Beetlejess, and sometimes swap between her and Deadeye as Commander.

With the current system I decided to create a build for each class so I can do the "Class dailies" which I usually ignored. But going through my heroes I realized I'd have to devote some space for weapons for each build. Storage is finite, so I thought "Why not use a pistol build for each?" Then I can use the same weapons for the most part. So I did. Soldier was fairly easy, I'd played around with Raven and Double Agent Evelynn builds before. (and I'll play with a Buccaneer Jonesy build if I get one of him) But Constructor and Ninja were a bit harder…though the recent arrival of Swashbuckler Keelhaul gave me an option to try for Ninja.

Build 1, The OG Pistol Packin Mama

Hero: Beetlejess: AMC, Phase Shift, TEDDY, Seismic Smash. Commander Perk: Make it Count gives +225% pistol crit damage, which is a MASSIVE boost.

Team Perk: Phase Blaster, every five seconds your next shot will be a phase pulse which is penetrating. It's like having a Bolt Bolt, every 5 seconds.

Support Heroes Ranger Deadeye, the other former Ranger, his Hipshot increases base pistol damage by 17 percent.
Gunblazer Southie, Blaze of Glory gives increased pistol damage by 35 % for 4 seconds after phase shift. Even MORE damage, though it's of very short duration. One option is replacing him with Fireflower Eagle Eye with Parting Gift that leaves Fireworks behind upon phase shift. Phase Scout Jess's, Phased and Confused adds another Phase Shift Charge. The pre-8.0 Ranger had 5 by default, this makes it 4. Quickdraw Calamity, Six Shooter, the first six shots of any pistol magazine get 20% more damge and 25% more impact. This is generally a more useful buff than Blaze of Glory because you have more control over it because you can reload after 6 shots. Wukong, Explosive Rounds. Every 6 eliminations, you get a one tile explosion. Adds some AoE punch to the build.

Gadgets: Adrenaline Rush and Hover Turret, nuff said.

Notes on the build: Beetlejess and Deadeye do NOT have their old Ranger-subclass Shield buffs and recharge/de-buff removal upon Phase Shift perks. That makes them more squishy, and is quite noticeable if you got used to the shield recharge upon phase shift. You need to be quicker to phase shift away and quicker to pull out the AoE pistol if you are about to get swarmed. This build's T.E.D.D.Y is the base teddy and is not enhanced. Same goes for AMC and Seismic Smash. Doesn't really matter though, the OG Pistol Packin Mama build is not lacking for damage output.

Other options: Ambush Buzz for In and Outlander, 6 kills within 10 second of phase shifting gets you a phase shift charge. Or switch in a hero with a phase shift or TEDDY boosting perk.

Build 2. The Dual Wielding Pistol Packin Soldier Mama Hero: Double Agent Evelynn: Grenades, Lefty & Righty, and Shockwave. Commander Perk: Where's Lefty reduces the the cooldown of Lefty & Righty by 5 seconds with every pistol kill.

Team Perk: Phase Blaster, every five seconds your next shot will be a phase pulse which is penetrating. It's like having a Bolt Bolt, every 5 seconds.

Support Heroes: Raven, Twinblast increases Lefty & Righty damage by 25% And of course since I'm going to be using pistols, I wanted both former Rangers and Calamity Deadeye with his 17% damage boosting Hipshot Beetlejess with her 75% crit damage boosting Make it Count Quickdraw Calamity, Six Shooter, the first six shots of any pistol magazine get 20% more damge and 25% more impact. And again, Wukong Wukong, Explosive Rounds. Every 6 eliminations, you get a one tile explosion, thought Double-Agent Evelynn has Shockwave and Grenades.

Notes: If you're used to a Outlander Pistol build, you'll be feeling the lack of Phase Shift to close distances, or get you out of trouble. That said, Evelynn has both Grenades and Shockwave, so can deal with swarms easier without taking the time to switch to an AoE weapon. Stay Frosty's stability boost benefits high recoil high damage pistols like the Duelist and Bald Eagle. The lack of AMC also means not being able to smash through a wall to get to blue-glow/survivor, or to get OUT of a building.

Alternatives: Replace Wukong with a hero that boosts general damage or grenades/shockwave.

Build 3: Pistol and Plasma Packin Penny! I had to do a Penny build (waves to u/CatstructorPenny and u/PowerPinkPenny ), I like Penny but have very rarely played constructors. This build is to encourage me to use Penny more. Hero: Vintage-Tech Penny. With her vintage/western aesthetic, she seemed like the sort of Constructor who would use pistols (or perhaps shotguns). She comes with Decoy, Plasma Pulse and R.O.S.I.E I focused on boosting her Plasma Pulse as well as Pistols

Team Perk: Recycling, Base Generates Resources. This is one I'm thinking of playing around with and replacing with something else.

Support Heroes: Electro Pulse Penny: Fully Contained causes husks who attack BASE affected structures to take damage. I might replace this with Calamity's Six Shooter pistol boost. Plasma Specialist Izza, Power Pulse increases Plasma Pulse damage by 30% Miss Bunny Penny: Plasma Overdrive reduces Plasma Pulse energy cost by 38% And of course Deadeye with his 17% damage boosting Hipshot Beetlejess with her 75% crit damage boosting Make it Count

Gadgets: Adrenaline Rush and Hover Turret, nuff said.

Notes: Again, if you're used to an Outlander pistol build the lack of Phase Shift mobility to close the range or escape trouble is noticeable. But, you've got Decoy to distract and Plasma Pulse as AoE. And if you have a good vantage point during a defense, (or against an Encampment), you've got ROSIE. Also note that this build does NOT boost Melee damage in any way.

Alternatives: Replace Electro-Pulse Penny for Guardian Bull for a Hardware weapon boost. Or replace EPP with Calamity's Six Shooter for more pistol damage. Another option is replacing Beetlejess and Deadeye with Shrapnel Headhunter and Buckshot Raptor and making it a Shotgun build.

Build 4, The Pistol Packin Pirate Mama. I was at a loss trying to figure out what kind of Ninja build to do for Ninja dailes, thinking I just might have to keep a ninja weapon set and settle for Harvester Sarah or something. But I was looking through my Ninja's and saw Swashbuckler Keelhaul and her perk, which was suited for my needs. Hero: Swashbuckler Keelhaul, Smoke screen, Throwing Stars, Kunai Storm. Commander Perk, Swash+ Dealing pistol damage increases sword damage by 65% for 6 seconds.

Team Perk: Round Trip, Throwing stars boomerang back to you doing damage on the way back.

Support Heroes Sword Master Ken's Legendary blade increases sword damage by 25% during shadow stance. So even when the Swash+ fades, she still gets a sword damage boost. Shuriken Master Sarah's Cascade adds another Throwing Star Cloaked Star's Fan of Stars throws them in an Arc and adds another Throwing Star. And of course, the standard pistol boosters Deadeye with his 17% damage boosting Hipshot Beetlejess with her 75% crit damage boosting Make it Count

Gadgets: Adrenaline Rush and Hover Turret, nuff said.

Notes, this isn't primarily a pistol build, the pistol is there to boost sword damage and to deal with enemies that traditional Ninja tactics don't work well with like Bees or enemies with various debuffs like acid pools, or exploding enemies. While she doesn't have phase shift, she can double jump away or into trouble. Also her enhanced throwing stars serve as an AoE attack. I don't have the Corsair and Jack's Revenge yet so I've been using her with my usual pistols and a legendary founder's Masamune.

Alternatives: Replace SMS or Cloaked Star with Calamity and her Six-Shooter, or buff Smoke Screen or Kunai Storm instead of Throwing Stars.

Enjoy and I'm looking forward to comments from experienced Constructors and Ninjas since I VERY rarely played them. These builds should encourage me to play them more.
