If you've been playing fortnite for awhile you know that storm shield bases become quite useless once you finish SSD10 of that zone. Im sure a lot of you also like the mission that SSDs offer. Its fun to defend your own home base with your friends.
Why not add a daily to defend one of your zone SSD and bring life back into your old bases? It might take abit of work on epics side but i believe it would keep the game fresh for all players. It would also be a good idea to release this SSD daily with the future update that allows us to take off old traps from structures, giving us more reason to revisit old SS bases to prep it for future attacks.
Have the husks the same level as your current PL. For example, you are PL58, and you get a daily for "Stonewood Storm Shield is Under Attack!" Get into Stonewood Storm Shield and fight off waves of PL58 husks with the difficulty corresponding to your current story progress. Meaning the Stonewood Storm shields waves of husks would be similar to Canny Valley SSD4 husks, with more mist monsters…. Perhaps even add a Mini boss on the last wave?
Keep the hero exp and mini llama rewards aswell, giving proper amount of hero exp for your PL. It will encourage friends to group up to help each others Daily SSD attacks.
Came up with this idea when i was just looking at my old stonewood base and thinking how awesome it would be to defend it once in awhile, since i havn't used it since October.
