I look at ranked, and you have T1 meta decks being played all the way to the rank 20 area.
I look at casual, which is basically just ladder without the ranks at this point, and is largely T1 meta decks.
I look at Wild, which is T1 meta decks from multiple expansion cycles.
So where exactly are players supposed to go to enjoy their jank legendaries? As a lover of priest, I find myself increasingly frustrated at how bad the priest identity for this cycle is. You may answer that with "they literally have two of the most powerful decks right now with control and clone priest, what's your problem?" My problem is that I'm annoyed with the trash tier cards released in Rhastakan.
I'm so sick of cards released that feel like they aren't supposed to work yet. Maybe Bwonsomdi and Surrender to Madness will have great synergies with the April expansion. Maybe there will be cards that make them viable down the road. But when you open them now, and you see that epic or legendary animation and then reveal it to show essentially garbage that you can't use, it just makes my blood boil.
So Blizz, if you're going to excuse bad design by saying that it's okay for some cards to be jank-level, where the hell am I supposed to even go to enjoy that? Because right now, it just feels like a ton of your cards are completely fu*king useless.
Maybe people would buy more packs if the cards in them didn't suck.
