Whizbang has 3 deck recipes where Saronite Chain Gang is integral to their respective deck's win conditions.
In the Priest Surrender to Madness deck, Saronite Chain Gang synergizes strongly with the deck buff cards Prince Keleseth and the deck's namesake, Surrender to Madness, and to a lesser extent with Spirit of the Dead. One of the contemplated win condition is playing a fully buffed 4 mana Chain Gang to get two 8/9 taunts. The nerfs would instead create a single 8/9 and 2/3 for 4 mana.
In the Warlock Hir'eek's Offerings deck, Saronite Chain Gang synergizes strongly with the hand buff cards Soul Infusion, Spirit of the Bat and Arena Fanatic. Having a handbuffed pre-nerf chain gang doubled the value of the hand buffs. The nerfs would mean only doubling imp allows the double value handbuff synergy.
In the Shaman Witchwook Awoken deck, Saronite Chain Gang synergizes Shudderwock, and with Zola, create a crappy version of the Shudderwock combo. Because this deck does not utilize Grumble, the nerfs are actually less impacted than pre-nerf Combo Shudderwock.
Saronite Chain Gang also appears in the evolve/Big Bad Voodoo Shaman deck, but due to the absence of synergy cards I don't think it's actually that affected.
Therefore, I hope that Blizzard adjusts the Whizbang Deck Recipes appropriately to address the nerf of the Saronite Chain Gang. Otherwise I'll never make it to legend with Whizbang.
