Alright bear with me on this.
This suggestion is something I think would help boost her raw healing while also bringing about a bit more cohesion to the ideas her latest rework brought forth and were kinda sprawled out on the table. Don't take this too serious though as I didn't put tons of thought into what it would do to her whole kit.
I did nerf the effect slightly as it's baked in and the numbers are guesses but you get the point.
(Q) Light of EluneHeal an ally Hero for 255 (+4% per level) Health and mark them for 4 seconds. Tyrande's basic attacks heal the marked target for 125% of the damage dealt. Light of Elune's cooldown is reduced by 1.5 seconds every time Tyrande damages an enemy.
Stores up to 2 charges. Cooldown replenishes all charges at the same time.
Why would this change matter?
Tyrande lacks having multiple tools available to heal with and this is one of the reasons players go for Elunes Chosen. Adding this brings another "nob" and mechanic that can be used as supplementary healing outside of the initial cast of Q. Something that I think would help push her farther into the healer role in the eyes of players.
For instance her trait and all auto attack talents become far more appealing as they would now play a small role into her healing. You can also make talents that have typically been frowned upon like Everlasting Light and Mark of Mending into something better. For instance Everlasting Light makes the basic attack healing last longer and Mark of Mending causes Tyrandes basic attacks against a traited target heals for an additional percent of max health to Q marked Heroes.
I would also love to see changes made to Ranger, Rangers Mark, Empower, and Darnassion Archery. But those are much different topics.
I hear concerns that this is copying Whitemane. I had this thought as well but here are a few points.
- Tyrande can already do this. Yes it's with a talent but it's not novel and it also fits the theme that Tyrande is a warrior and a Priestess.
- Whitemanes identity as a Hero that heals through damage is much stronger then Tyrandes would be. The effect for Tyrande is weak and meant to supplement her healing and further bring the aggressive aspects of her kit into the fold of her healing potential.
- Mechanics are used on different Heroes all the time as long as the Heroes are different themselves. Tyrande would still be a healer that supports her team through aggressive utility and Whitemane a hero that supports through aggressive damage.
