Experimental Probius Rework

HeroesoftheStorm 10 - Experimental Probius Rework

Probius – Rework – CDC #10

Q – Disruption Pulse Added functionality – Hitting a enemy hero will cause the Photon Cannon to prioritize them.

Photon Cannon would be more reliable with a targeting mechanic, and it gives Disruption Pulse something else to do outside of detonating Warp Rifts.

Z – Worker Rush Added functionality – Taking damage outside a powerfield ends the effect early. The Passive 10% movement speed has been removed.

Now functions as a reliable escape tool, but looses the passive 10% movement speed. I want Probius to feel safer within a powerfield, and more vulnerable out.

Enhanced Targeting – Photon Cannon will target all heroes hit by Disruption Pulse for 3 seconds. Passive: Photon Cannon can see over obstacles.

Echo Pulse – Disruption Pulse now returns to Probius 1.25 seconds after reaching its target. Warp Rifts detonated on the return deal 30% more damage.

Gather Minerals – Enemy minions drop minerals when killed. Collect them to use special abilities.

Photon Barrier – While Probius is within Photon Cannons attack radius, both gain 30 armor.

Turbo Charged – Worker Rush gains 20% passive Movement Speed while in a Power Field, and its cooldown is reduced by 10 seconds.

Shield Capacitor – Probius, Pylons, and Photon Cannons lose 30% of their max health and gain a shield of equal value. These shields regenerate quickly if they haven't taken damage recently.

Cannon Rush – Photon Cannon's cooldown refreshes 100% faster while there are no powered Photon Cannon.

Resonance – Warp Rift gains an additional charge and will arm in .75 seconds while in a powerfield.

Warp Gate – Requires Gather Minerals. Warp in a Zealot for 15 minerals in a powerfield. Zealots will march down the nearest lane and attack minions. Passive: Health globes are worth 3 minerals.

Pylon Overcharge – Increase the size of Pylon powerfields and they will attack enemies within it. Lasts 10 seconds.

Null Gate – Project a barrier of negative energy in the target direction that lasts 4 seconds. Enemies who touch the barrier take damage per second and are slowed by 80% for as long as they remain in contact with it.

Optimized Ordnance – After Photon Canon has been active for 3 seconds. Its attack radius and attack speed is increased by 20%. Up to 60%

Probius Loop – Whenever a Rift explosion hits 2 or more enemy Heroes, create a new Warp Rift in the same location.

Forge – Requires Gather Minerals. Purchase an extra talent (not Level 10) for 75 minerals. Cost rises 25 minerals for each additional use. Passive: Enemy heroes drop 10 minerals.

Photon Charge – Basic Attack damage is increased by 100% every 2 seconds in a powerfield. This can stack 25 times. This bonus damage is reset after using a basic attack. (1,800 damage at lvl 20 with maximum charge)

Harmonizer – Warp Rift slow is increased by 10% for each active Warp Rift.

Shield Battery – Pylon's Power Field grants allied Heroes Shields, that persist for 2 seconds after exiting a Powerfield.

Construct Additional Pylons – Probius can now have up to 3 active Pylons, and the cooldown is reduced to 8 seconds.

Gate Keeper – Null Gate lasts indefinitely if either end is within a Power Field. Only one Gate may be active at a time.

Stabilizer – Warp Rifts that last the full duration without detonating will warp in a Photon Cannon that last for 5 seconds. These canons still require a powerfield to function.

Nexus – Requires Gather Minerals. Warp in a Nexus at the location of a friendly destroyed fort or keep. Each Nexus cost 150 minerals to build. The Nexus functions similarly to a fort.

There are now distinct builds that alter the play style substantially. The mineral collecting build is highly experimental and difficult to balance without any testing. The mineral spending talents are abilities that are added to the hotbar keys.
