I will tell my experience with the lovely Heroes of the Storm players, more likely with the Quick Match players, that are false reporting you just because they are irritate about the fact that you just adressed them something and that the broken report system is still abused, and is highly praised by the players that I gave as a previous example.
So I've been silenced for 4 times in 2 weeks. Yes, you heard me. If you think that's impossible, I will just show it that is possible.
First penalty. I've started playing with the team chat off because I've realized that is worthless to communicate in this game since there are players that are so frustrated and can false report you. Where I've been reported? Quick Match. Silence overturned.
Second penalty. Still team chat off, not a single word written anywhere, just used pings, but the reports still count. Where I've been reported? Quick Match. Silence overturned.
My conclusion: try to avoid Quick Match if you are playing solo. Why I was playing Quick Match? I was playing heroes that are not my main. I'm main Storm League player, playing in Diamond League, but over 150 matches played, I've decided to take a break from Ranked and I've decided to give a chance to Quick Match but it left me with a "bitter taste" about how truly toxic can be this community with the players that they think are "toxic".
These are the "chat logs" that I've got when I've appealed the penalties:
A reminder for the players that like to false report someone just because that someone said his opinion about something:
False reporting is also against the rules.
As I said before, I've played over 150 Ranked matches since the new season started and I've communicated with the players that I've played with. Not a single silence after all these matches. I hope that you see the difference between Quick Match players and Ranked Players. Is not about how competitive are the matches, is about the attitude of the players, of the people.
