Some of this is a bit radical, but the biggest changes I've made are:
Nova no longer passively gains stealth. She must activate it via her trait which functions like Tassadar's dimensional shift but costs mana per second it is active.
Snipe no longer has a stacking quest by default.
Nova has a new heroic which should be feasible for a dev to make without needing new VFX, and triple tap has been moved to level 20 as an active ability.
Without further ado, here are my proposed changes to my favourite Ghost! 🙂
*Attack Speed 1 *Attack Range 6.5 *Attack Damage
Snipe (Q): 50 Mana Cooldown
6 8 seconds *Range 10.8725 12.5 (amounts to a 15% increase)
230 280 (+4% per level) damage to the first enemy hit. Passive: Hitting an enemy Hero with Snipe permanently increases the damage of Snipe by 6%, stacking up to 30%. Gain an additional 25% damage bonus at maximum stacks. All stacks are lost if Snipe fails to hit an enemy.
Pinning Shot (W) Mana:
65 50 Cooldown: 12 seconds Deal 100 (+4% per level) damage to an enemy and Slow them by 40% for 2.25 seconds.
Nova's next basic attack deals 25% damage in an area around the target and slows all enemies hit by 50% for 1.5 seconds.
Holo Decoy (E)– unchanged
Triple Tap 100 Mana Cooldown: 100 seconds Moved to level 20 as a 100 CD Active ability Locks in on the target Hero, then fires 3 shots that hit the first Hero or Structure they come in contact with for 372 damage (+4% per level) each.
New Heroic Farsight Hunter: Mana: 40 Cooldown: 30 seconds Activate to make Nova's next snipe have double the range and pierce all enemies hit.
New Trait Ghost Protocol (D): Mana 50 per second Cooldown: 3-12 seconds
Activate to become invulnerable and untargetable for up to 4 seconds. Each second Ghost Protocol is active increases the cooldown by 3 seconds. Cooldown starts after Ghost Protocol is cancelled.
Passive: Gain 40% movement speed while Ghosted.
~~Permanent Cloak (D) ~~
Gain Stealth when out of combat for 3 seconds. Taking damage, attacking, using Abilities, or Channeling ends Stealth. Remaining stationary for at least 1.5 seconds while Stealthed grants Invisible. Passive: Gain 15% Movement Speed while Stealthed.
Feedback Rounds: Hitting an enemy hero with Snipe permanently increases Nova's mana by 15 and reduces the cooldown of Snipe by 3 seconds.
Culling shot: Snipe deals bonus damage equal to 8% of the target's current health, but Snipe's cooldown is increased by 4 seconds.
Clear the Field: Pinning shot deals 100% increased damage to non-heroic targets and half the mana cost and cooldown are refunded if it does not damage a hero.
Lethal Hunter: Quest: Kill enemy heroes within 1.5 seconds of hitting them with Snipe.
Reward: Snipe deals bonus damage equal to 1.5% of the target's maximum health per hero killed, up to 12%. Bonuses are lost on death.
Longshot (moved from level 1): Increase Pinning shot's cast range by 30%. Pinning shot also increases the attack range on Nova's next basic attack by 2.
Anti armor shells: New functionality Nova's basic attacks lower a target's armor by 4 for 5 seconds. Stacks up to 5 times.
Perfect shot: New functionality If Snipe hits a hero after travelling at least 50% of its base range, Snipe stuns the target for 0.75 seconds.
One in the Chamber: After using an ability or Ghost Protocol, Nova's next basic attack within 3 seconds deals 60% bonus damage.
Covert Mission (Moved from 13)- New Functionality Once every 60 seconds, activate to instantly defeat target non-boss mercenary camp. Merceneries defeated with Covert Mission spawn 50% faster. Whilst Covert Mission is on cooldown, Nova loses 10 armor.
Ionic Armor: Gain a shield equal to 15% of Nova's maximum health when Ghost Protocol ends.
Double Tap: New Function After 3 seconds, Pinning shot's slow and splash damage activates a second time around the primary target.
EMP rounds: Basic attacks deal 150% bonus damage to shields.
Passive: Nova permanently gains 0.5 Mana regen per second each time she damages a shield, up to 2 mp/second.
Liquid Nitrogen: Pinning shot now roots the initial target for 1.5 seconds.
Lethal Decoy: New functionality Nova's Decoy deals 20% of Nova's damage and it no longer takes bonus damage.
Explosive Round removed
War kit: Nova's basic attacks deal bonus damage equal to 1.5% of the target's maximum health and reduce the cooldown of Snipe by 1 second.
Ruthlessness (Heroic upgrade): Farsight hunter no longer costs mana and it's cooldown is reduced by 10 seconds.
Triple Tap (Moved from 10) Activatable with 100 second cd
Precision Barrage Unchanged
New ability: Mind games: Activate to remove all damage over time effects and switch places with Nova's Decoy. 20 second cooldown.
