How do I keep track of how many featured contracts I have completed ?
How do I know what is the next unlock ? How do new players know if they have none to ask ?
Actually, how are new players supposed to know about this without having read all the patch notes since launch ?
Where are the achievements related to this ? Are there any ?
How do I know about theme ? It's not quite obvious. How would a new player even notice there is a theme ?
Why is it taking so much time to release contracts made by the community, which are already available in the look up screen anyway ? Is this considered content ?
I'm sorry. Those questions are barely serious, I just want to highlight that this is so poorly implemented a new player wouldn't even notice the existence of those contract without having been told they exist. The achievement that the patch notes mention are nowhere to be found. I don't know what item I will get next, and there is no place to keep track of the progress I have made (except counting all 39 featured contracts). I love this game but some things I just can't quite support. Time limited content ? Please no more. This is sad and a waste of manpower. It is frustrating not to be able to replay even small missions like the Christmas and Winter Season events. And now those contracts with very poor communication around them ? Please take this feedback into account. What saddens me is that some players (potentially me and you) are missing on some events because they're quite poorly indicated or implemented.
Live service is not drip feeding content (but obviously that's not the biggest problem I have about featured contracts. The biggest problem is certainly the lack of achievement.) And about time limited content (which we haven't really had in a while, but I'm still scared IOI will make some again so I feel like I have to address this while I'm at it), I'm not certain a single player game like Hitman needs time limited content to keep people coming back. Let people enjoy the game as it is, and for the work that is put in it. It would be an all win situation like it was for Hitman 2016. Even small missions are new and enjoyable. They're good to play and replay from time to time.
(That's why I think some elusive target missions would really benefit from coming back as actual missions after a few months, but without the reward. So that they're still elusive for a few months, but then people can play them after a while for how much they like it. With no time restriction.)
