Two things I'll say before I say anything else

  1. I think karma should have been buffed
  2. I don't think riot buffs champions to increase sales but the timing was a bit too convenient for me to not consider it

To start, karma's winrate has increased by around 4 percent since riot's last buff to her, having a 49 percent flat winrate last patch and now up to 53 percent in her

main role (support). Her secondary roles,

top lane are even higher, Peaking at around 54 percent sometimes. The buffs were an increase slow on her Q +10 percent (inner flame) and an increased movement speed duration on her E +1 second (inspire) and a lowered cost of -10 mana for her E through all ranks. She's currently ranked on

u.gg as the rank 2 champion in each of her main and off roles. Her playrate has increased by more than double.

What I will say is that I agree karma should have been buffed. She gets outshined by the majority of the enchanter cast, but I think she should have either been buffed in other areas or not buffed so strongly in the areas that were targeted.

For instance, the way the change was explained didn't make much sense to me " We're giving Karma more tools to help her survive, especially when she's caught out by herself." Now I'm not a very skilled or experience player but I thought usually enchanter supports' main weakness should be that while they're able to make an ally tanky and seemingly intangible, if they get caught out by themselves, they get popped like a rock. "Well actually she's also supposed to be burst mage as well." I'm not saying she isn't, but the amount of utility (shielding and movement speed buffs) and damage that she already had in her kit shouldn't have given enough room for an increase in survivability. I'm not saying that enchanters shouldn't be able to survive being left alone, but not really an area of the champ that I think should be targeted. The Q buff, I think is okay, but a whole one second on the movement speed buff which is also tied in with a shield? I dunno.

I can only hope that this is for the skin sales (which I don't think they are) and that a better adjustment will come in a future patch, because riot has a tendency of keeping champions at high winrates if they don't have a high enough banrate to nerf (which usually pertains to the majority of enchanter supports because their power and effort most of the time goes unnoticed unless they have game changing abilities such as Morgana's Black shield, Yuumi's ability to go untargetable as an enchanter, and lulu's ability to turns divers and assassins into cute animals with her polymorph)

TLDR: why are you so lazy. What do you have to do today that you couldn't even read like 2 and a half paragraphs of texts? Do you not like reading in general? They say the best way to get better is to read. Start out on smaller books and gradually increase your reading level.

The real TLDR: Karma, while I agree she should have been buffed, had her buffs targeted in the wrong areas and now has near a 54 percent winrate and over double the playrate
