What gives?

Lord Dominiks Regard is actually broken, and I don't understand why people aren't building it more often on assassin's/poke adcs.

If my target has 100 armor I get 35 armor pen. So it's like 2 lethality items for 2800

If they have 50, I get 17.5 armor pen. So against Squishies it's like having a lethality item for 100 cheaper.

If they have 150 armor(average for a midgame tank that built a deadmans/Sunfire/bramble vest+tabis) you get 52.5 armor pen for 2800 gold which imo is just nutty.

Each point of armor pen is worth 40 gold, so at it's worst the item is a cheaper and less speedy ghostblade, and at it's best it's a massive gold multiplier for champions who aren't getting enough time in shorter games to hit other available powerspikes because they don't have ~1200 extra gold lying around which a last whisper can technically grant them vs tankier champs.

Also it never falls off, especially if you build a bork(which applies its lifesteal to it's %damage, which is affected by armor pen/armor).

Idk, it just seems like bork + last whisper should be a go to build on adc, but maybe I'm crazy and conqueror is too good to warrant this change in build paths on other classes.

Still, it's just staring us in the face and I'm confused as to why this 6k gold early game powerspike that never falls off isn't being used more often on a ton of adc, and LDR in general isn't being built on assassins after duskblade.

Edit : I understand that IE deals true damage, but to get there reliably you have to spend at least 5.2k on a completed zeal item and an IE. 2800 vs 5200 is a lot of money to play with, and can be achieved much earlier in the game.

I just don't buy that 10% true damage much much later is better than 30%~ more damage much much sooner. If the game goes 35-40 minutes of course I builds are better, but when games are on average 27~ minutes I just don't see why people don't want to deal more damage sooner.

Also, armor pen works on towers. I didn't mention that before, but I feel like it has to factor in somehow to the argument regardless of mage tower hitting strength ATM.
