All games and standings
There is one week of LEC left and it is another superweek! Only two playoff spots are locked in so far, just RGE and MAD. Every other team has some scenario where they can make playoffs. To get to worlds, teams MUST make it to playoffs, so there is a possibility that G2 or FNC could go 0-3 and not make it. Even Schalke can still make it to playoffs.
This is the first week on 10.15, so there are quite a few differences this week. Some of the notable ones are
Aphelios was only picked or banned three times this week, compared to nine last week
Caitlyn was picked three times and banned twice after her buffs
Sejuani was picked three times. This is also her first time being picked this split. This is a little odd since she received no changes.
Camille was picked twice and banned three times. This is her highest presence so far this split. She scales well and splitpushes well against a lot of top laners, so I am glad to see her over Renekton or Aatrox.

The bot lane meta might be shifting, at least in EU. Ezreal went 0-3 and Aphelios went 0-2 this week while Senna went 3-1 and Caitlyn went 3-0. Ashe went unpicked this week after her 0-8 record previously in the LEC this split.
Overall, Senna is 14-4 this split. That does not separate AD or support, but she has still had a strong performance and will continue into playoffs.
There are now 88 unique champions picked! Seven champions were picked for the first time this split this week, here are their records.
Sona / Lux is understandable as it is a relatively new duo from high elo EUW soloq.
Cait / Morg also make sense as they work well together and Cait received buffs this patch too, so logically Morgana would come back.
Sejuani, Gnar, and Xayah did not receive any changes. Perhaps a few teams thought that they needed hard engage with the Sejuani?
If you want to see this, here it is. I have commented on it some previously, perhaps after next week of 10.15 I will go back and see if there are certain teams prioritizing banning newly popular picks like Cait.
First Pick / B1

By week :
Blue side went 8-2 this week, bringing the overall record to 37-38 for blue vs red.
Kalista has a high priority by many teams with the amount of bans she gets, but picking her first does lock you in to a certain type of team comp. Kalista wants to run at the enemy team to be most effective, so the enemy can pick champions that thrive in that kind of fight.
The most prominent B1 this week was Senna, going 3-0. Previously we saw a lot of Aphelios B1 and he is relatively easy to answer as you just need to out range him. Senna has a lot more than 550 range once she collects some souls and she also has her global ult, so out ranging her is not going to be nearly as effective. However, Senna does not have five guns meant to kill anything that walk in range with runaans and an aoe flamethrower. She probably functions well against melee champions as she goes glacial most of the time. I think that champions like Ashe or Twitch are fine against her. Either hard CC or burst so she does not get a chance to kite or heal. However, this is true for basically every ADC so I have not unearthed some secret information here.
Last Pick / R5

By week :
There are still no champions picked more than five times on R5 this split, so the winrates are too low to draw conclusions from.
Lee Sin R5 seems weird basically all the time. The only time I could see it potentially would be against Kindred to kick her out of her ult, or vs a Fiddle to kick him out of the team. In MAD vs VIT, VIT picked Lee Sin as R5 vs Trundle. If I remember correctly, it ended up working out because Lee and Leblanc were able to assassinate the enemy Ezreal a few times. However, that is a logical fallacy to say it is good because it worked. You would think that Lee would never be able to kick Ezreal since Ezreal has his E.
Senna + Tahm Kench is 6-1 this split, while Aphelios + Tahm Kench is 1-6. This is likely because teams often did not draft correctly against Aphelios. The same things that are good against Aphelios are also good against Tahm Kench.
Since Caitlyn won all three of her games this week, I checked her pairs as well. She is 2-0 with Morgana and Leblanc, no other champion pairs above 1.
Last week someone asked me to add bans AGAINST teams. I have not forgotten about this, but I have also not done it yet. I will get to it at some point, hopefully before playoffs.
For playoffs, I think I will do weekly posts still, but combine the data all into one columns on the weekly posts (like B1 Week 7 for example). I think this is better than splitting it up into multiple columns for each different playoff week, but let me know if you have other thoughts.
I will be posting these weekly for LEC (on Monday mornings CST) and LCS (on Tuesday mornings CST).
