I haven't played since the Hungering Deep came out, so I've missed out on quite a bit of events. I decided to hop on my PC and play some SoT. I noticed there was something new on the island that told me to go to SBC which I did. Ran into a medium-sized ship and they were friendly, so I passed them up until I saw a 2-manned sloop in the distance. They instantly started firing cannons at me so I returned fire. I gave them a little chase and that's when a full-on battle ensued. It was just me on my ship versus the 2-manned sloop for about 15 minutes battling it out. I surprisingly had really good shots (talking LONG distance) for not playing for so long. They also got some hits on me and scraped the side of my ship so I had some baling, repairing, and firing to do. I knocked one off the ship with the cannonball and that's when I saw Meg appear. She just completely chewed him up and I knew it was just one left on the ship. That's ALSO when the friendly medium-sized ship came in and started helping me (they allowed me to join their alliance) and we both just demolished them in roughly 5 minutes. We started heading out until Meg circled around me and knocked me off my ship and I was rescued by them until she knocked me off again and killed me.
To the two guys on the friendly ship who was helping me out, THANK YOU! Also, to the 2-manned sloop who wanted to battle, thank you as well. That was genuinely my first great battle on this game since March so it was refreshing.
Looks like I'm going to be playing this game a lot once again.
