Usually the maps Blizzard adds to the map pool come from the 16 finalists of the
TL.net map contest. Now that the TLMC tournament is over the mapmakers have the chance to iterate on their 16 maps and improve them based on what they've seen the pro players pull off on their creations.
Here are the map overviews and links to interesting games that took place over the last week
Note: Airblockers behind the natural, geyser blockers are 150 minerals, wall is 5 minerals
Note: Mineral nodes are value 5
Note: Mid 5 minerals, backdoor 20 each

Now is the right time to chime in and give your opinions. What race is favoured on what map? Which strategies are totally OP? Which map should Blizzard never even consider adding because it's just unplayable for ladder? And maybe, what small fixes can be made to greatly imrove the maps?
The mapmakers only have this very week to make changes and the resulting version of the map might well hit ladder in a few months time. Hey, maybe you played some games on one of those 16 maps, what did you think?
Thanks to everyone providing their insight, it is greatly appreciated!
TL;DR: Hey pros and GMs, here are potential ladder maps of next year, tell us how they suck, because mapmakers only have a few days left to fix them!
