Here's all the key data at the beginning
While prepping up my thieving character, I noticed part of Elsweyr was designed for thieving characters and went completely unnoticed by everyone.
The Vesture of Darloc Brae Set
This set, combined with previous sneaking/thieving sets, allows for a perfect twelve piece thieving combo with Night Mother's Embrace and Night Terror. The 5 set bonus of Night Mother gives -2 to detection radius, the 3 set bonus of Night Terror gives -2 to detection radius, and the 4 set bonus of Darloc Brae gives -2 to detection radius. When combined, they perfectly fit the 12 item slots of your character (ex. 5 night mother body armor, 3 night terror jewelry, 2 weapon slots and head/shoulder of darloc brae).
In total, that gives a dramatic -6m to your detection radius, which when combined with other passives and perks from the dark brotherhood, thieves guild, and the khajiit skill lines, creates a massive combo that results in being near invisible for as long as you are sneaking:
behold data. These bonuses becomes near criminal (haha) when combined with Khajiit passives that reduce your detection radius even further.
Whether you use the pick-pick-stab, or go with pick-stab method (cause it's faster), skills like padomaic spirit are great because the major expedition buff helps you move from target to target more quickly without having to expend any resources on skills like Rapid Maneuver, which is a waste of your stamina you want for sneaking/sprinting. Scales of pitiless justice/swiftly forgotten help your bounty more rapidly clear in cases you DO get caught (especially killing someone), as when the two are combined, it reduces a ~1000 bounty that takes a little over an hour to clear, down to a 497 bounty that takes 15 minutes to clear. They are exceptionally powerful together.
Of course, any skills that increase your selling abilities (fence perk, haggling, etc) all help you gain more gold passively from the junk you sell to the fence merchant, but as we all know, the real money is in the motifs/designs/etc, such as the alinor furnishings, so just keep thieving for those and don't stress over the little stuff (purple thief junk is always fun to get/sell though)!
Eventually, you can get rare items like this:
bad game economy.
Good luck, have fun, and stay out of Vvardenfell! That's Camonna Tong turf and we don't want you Thieves Guild rats there! 😉
