Hello all – I have been a reader for years, and finally after reading all sorts of topics, there is one that has emotionally effected me enough to finally post on here…

After over 6 years in the world of Tamriel, my account was permanently banned on July 28, 2020. I have never been banned, suspended, or even sent a warning about anything before. I have always followed the ToS, and stuck by basic human law of treating others nicely. I have reached out to the ESO Customer Support via a ticket (#200728-008961) just a couple hours after receiving the ban. I also emailed customer support, as well as [email protected]>(mailto:[email protected]), to hopefully get this resolved in a timely fashion. I understand that mistakes with bans happen, however even after being a dedicated WoW player for over 8 years, this is still my first time of this ever happening…

The first day I was in complete shock and mostly numb over the situation thinking it would be fixed in just a few hours, however as we as know, ESO support has been pretty busy lately and most tickets take 10+ days to even get the first response. Now entering the 5th day, it has taken a toll on me mentally and emotionally because of how much the account, and specifically my first character meant to me; as my sister who is no longer with us had a big part in helping me create it…

I have been out of work since March 16th, due to contracting Covid-19 (I am the owner/operator of a Personal Training business that literally thrives on human interaction) With my clients being on the safe side and not wanting to return just yet (we live in Florida of all places)… I have been glued to ESO for nearaly 16-18 hours most days. While I still live a productive life, have a family & take care of everything that needs to be; I have been feel a huge sense of loss that has literally been affecting me all the way into my dreams… While some of you may say it's probably a good thing to have a break from it, I just wish it wasn't under these circumstances. I have used ESO as an escape from what has sometimes been a harsh reality, and without it, I have been having an increase in anxiety, stress, and overall emotional distress.

My wife & family also play the game, so it has been heart wrenching for them to play as well due to the situation, even though I tell them to just enjoy it and have fun. It is still hard for them to get into it… I haven't let on to anyone on how much this actually bothers me because I feel like "oh it's just a game" when really, it has feels like it has been an extension of me for so long, and even losing the ability to talk to people you have become friends with in game, mostly guildies feels like I've lost so much more… not to even mention the hard work & time put into my characters…I had leveled up 7 toons up to 50, making my total toon count to 15, with a 571 CP. Everyone is trial capable, and I finally had just finished leveling up my crafting the day I was banned…

I am reaching out to the ESO Community to at least get some insight & support over this whole deal. I know it will possibly take sometime to get this resolved due to ZoS's high volume of tickets, so having some outreach and a voice in the community has already made me feel a little bit better… I just don't know what to do from here, and am even fearing the worst if the ban remains in place. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how does it end? What was the process and am I crazy for feeling as bad about this as I do?

Thank you all for your time…
