Hoping they add a new jet for Russia soon. The MiG-21SMT is their last top tier addition, since 1.95, and is becoming a bit boring imo, it also doesn't have flares (although the SPS-141 pod could help but that would also cause immense drag).

The MiG-21bis could be the next possible option but I'm mostly excited for the MiG-23 because it's an entirely new design that would give a different touch to top tier. A new FM that feels different than the MiG-21, better at CAS, swing wing mechanic, retrofitted internal BVP-50-60 flare dispensers in the dorsal spine (retrofitted later on in its service life during the late 70s and early 80s like the F-4E), much better airframe and design for handling supersonic speeds and accelerating through them, and overall a new plane, whereas we're already familiar with the MiG-21 with the F-13 and SMT so the MiG-21bis wouldn't feel very new.

Could load up to 6 missiles, two dual racks with R-60s for example, and two R-24R (the radar-homing USSR counterpart of the AIM-7F) or two R-24T, up to 25G overload. Speaking of the R-23 and R-24, we need the MiG-23 anyway, since it's the only aircraft to have utilized them, because when SARH missiles are added the USSR will need proper counterparts for the AIM-7D, AIM-7E-2 and AIM-7F. The R-3R of the MiG-21 will be pathetic next to those.
