ZBD-03, or ZLC-2000, is a Chinese airborne IFV, able to be dropped from an IL-76, and is rather new, being introduced in 2003, but first seen during a China-Russia Military Parade in 2005. Since this is a newer vehicle, not much 'history' is available, so I will have to leave that section out. But, as far as general information goes, the main armament consists of a 30mm or 25mm cannon (Soviet/Russian 30mm as seen on the BMP-2 and 3, or American 25mm copy as seen on the Bradley), along with 3 HJ-73C ATGMs, and a 5.8mm machine gun. I will go a bit into the armament in a moment. It also comes with high mobility, an estimated 68 km/h, and two sets of three barreled smoke launchers. However, as one would expect with any vehicle like this, it has very little armor, even more so as it has to be air dropped. It is able to fit 4 extra soldiers inside, such as paratroopers, who can stay safe while inside the vehicle, and disembark once an area is cleared by the IFV crew. It also happens to be amphibious, because of course it is.

The main armament of the ZBD-03 is the autocannon, a 30mm or 25mm gun depending on the version. I would personally like to see both in game, preferably the 25mm to prevent it from being seen as just a Chinese BMP-2 (which does exist, under its own designation), the ZBD having its own unique chassis, despite initial rumors of it being a copy of the Russian BMD-3. The 30mm is essentially a Chinese copy of the 2A72 30mm gun. The 25mm gun is possibly the one used on the M3 Bradley in game, information seems a bit lacking, however some sources also state the 25mm fires in 3-5 round bursts. The ATGM is a bit..interesting.

The HJ-73 ATGM, at its core, is a Chinese copy of the 9M14 Malyutka ATGM, but the one used on the ZLC-2000 is the C variant, which is a SACLOS ATGM, rather than MCLOS, and also has an extended nose probe for stand-off detonation with increased effectiveness against ERA. It has a range of 3,000 km, and has improved penetration, about 180mm at a 65 degree angle.

Why should it be added, and where?:

This vehicle should be added to help fill up China's light tank line, giving it an interesting vehicle that once again combines East and West, with an American based 25mm gun and Soviet origin ATGM. It would also help fill out the tree with something that you can not find in another nation, something I think a lot of people, even those who play the Chinese tree, would appreciate. I think it should be at battle rating 8.0 in the Chinese ground tree, since the ATGM is still the slower 9M14, but improved, and the autocannon can also be found on the Bradley at the same battle rating. There is also conflicting information as to whether the ZBD-03 has a two plane stabilizer or not.
