For those who missed it DE gave out Khora parts as twitch drops last week and is doing the same with Harrow this week, see link: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1212541-livestream-schedule-august-10-14/
And while this is a nice gesture for anyone looking to farm those frames again or new players looking to get them in the first place, it is still merely a temporary bandaid. Anyone who wants to farm those frames next week or who can't catch those streams for whatever reason will still have to put up with the long grind for them.
So lets look at some of the worst grinds in the game and how we can improve them:
Khora: Her parts drop at a fairly low droprate distributed over 3 droptables in a single mode: sanctuary onslaught. Since this is Cephalon Simarises Mode i think makes the most sense to simply move the Khora parts to his offerings. This still makes it a bit of a grind but removes the frustrating RNG aspect of it. Onslaught could also reward some Simaris Standing to give an alternativ to scanning and his daily missions.
Harrow: The chassis everyone has in abandunce, but the rest takes a lot longer to farm. If we are real here nobody plays defection except to farm Harrow so why not simply increase the chance for the Harrow Systems part in Rotation C alot. The same can be done for the Kuva spy mission. This one can technicly be used to farm some mods exclusive to Tier 3 spy but so can any of the other spy missions on the later planets so there is plenty of alternatives if we decrease the chance for those in favour of a much higher Harrow Neuroptics dropchance.
Nidus: All Nidus parts drop at Rotation C in the infested salvage mission on Eris. Personaly i would love to see something done to make the mode more interesting in general but for now i think the easiest solution would be to simply make Nidus parts the only drops in Rotation C, since just like Harrow and Defection nobody realy plays the mode anyway if the aren't looking for Nidus parts.
Hildryn: Her parts are not a big grind as the drop at usual boss droprates from the exploiter orb. However her Main Blueprint is locked behind rank 2 of Vox Solaris. And ranking up to rank 2 requires 15 gyromag systems which require the profittaker bountys to get which require max rank in Solaris United to unlock. Which is a bit silly given that we already have Baruuk as the Frame locked behind the profittakers bountys like this. Giving Hildryn the same threatment feels a lot like DE realising that just framing the Exploiter Orb is to fast so the added this second gate. I see little reason why the Main Blueprint can't just be at rank 0 of Vox Solaris or even on the Market to decoupel it from also requiering the profit taker bountys.
Wisp: Not realy that bad of a grind compared to the others aslong as Ropalyst doesn't bug out but i wanted to highlight this because DE did something thats in my opionion kinda sketchy. If you look at the droptable it looks at first glance fairly similar to other star chart bosses, except the Main blueprint also drops there at a 22,5% chance. This increases the amount of average runs you need to do to get Wisp from about 6-7 to 8-9 compared to say Valkyr next door. Simply move the Main blueprint to the market to have parity with other star chart frames. (Sidenote: why aren't the amalgam mods from there tradeable. Why DE?)
Other Frames: This list is by no means exhaustive of all the Warframe grinds that need improving. Among those that need improvment i would count Ivara, Gauss, Octavia, Equinox. And i am sure i am still forgetting someone. But this post hopefully gives a few ideas that could be applied to those frames aswell.
What are your thoughts on improving those grinds aswell as on the specific fixes suggested specificly?
