Honestly, I can't remember when exactly the Heat Sink was broken (maybe from the very beginning), but I excluded it from my build because of it. Now it works as should, and I played a bit with it on dummy.

My basic setup with -20% heat on pistol and -20% from talent gives me 39 shots before exploding.

I tried 10% crit (5% base and 5% on trinket) with the Heat Sink 20 times in a row and simply counted shots before the explosion, which resulted into (44+43+39+39+37+30+31+34+46+26+44+37+50+31+39+34+34+39+26+31)/20=36.7 shots before the explosion.

15% crit (5% base, 5% trinket, 5% on the pistol itself) gave me the following after 20 tries: (56+43+47+47+50+41+49+30+34+45+34+45+31+42+40+53+44+36+42+46)/20=42.7

Basic damage is 1700, crit damage 2400, proc damage 300.

Trait +20% crit damage actually adds ~6% to damage from my observations.

The purpose of my calculations was to find if it is worth to change 10% damage for 5% crit chance on the pistol itself, and if the Heat Sink is better than the Thermal Equalizer. I've multiplied all tries count to 10 for the better differentiation.

Damage 10%+10%, Crit Chance 5%, Thermal Equalizer = 390 shots, 5% crits =

`` 390*0,05=19 critical hits, final damage will be 371*2050+19*2900+390*350=952150 (it will be 100% as the base damage) ``

Damage 10%+10%, Crit Chance 10%, Thermal Equalizer 390 shots = 39 critical hits, final damage

Загрузка...
`` 351*2050+39*2900+390*350=969150 (101,8%) ``

Damage 10%, Crit Chance 15%, Heat Sink 390 shots = 58 crits, final damage

`` 332*1700*1,1+58*2400*1,1+325*390=900710 (95%) ``

Damage 10%+10%, Crit Chance 10%, Heat Sink 367 shots = 36 crits.

`` (367-36)*2050+36*2900+367*350=911400 (95,4%) ``

Damage 10%, Crit Chance 15%, Heat Sink 427 shots = 64 crits, final damage

`` 363*1700*1,1+64*2400*1,1+325*427=986545 (104.5%) ``

Damage 10%, Cirt Damage 20%, Crit Chance 10%, Heat Sink 367 shots = 36 crits,

`` (367-36)*1,1*1700+36*1,1*2400*1,06+367*325=838987 (86.6%) ``

From my conclusion, the Heat Sink build with 15% total critical chance and +10% additional damage is better in long-term perspective, as it deals more damage. But the difference itself is not that big (2,8% compared to 20% damage 10% crit and Thermal Equalizer build), and the build is less predictable due to random nature of crits.
