Hey guys and gals. While a lot of you may know that WG is reblancing Tier 1-6 tanks to have more HP, ammo and lower repair costs and lower profitability, what you may not have noticed is that quite a few tanks are actually getting various buffs and nerfs outside of the planned HP rebalance. .

As a result, I will list all of the buffs / nerfs to tanks which are not related to the overall HP rebalance. This includes some rather interesting changes to a few tanks that may definitely impact the way they perform and feel to play. Let's get started, shall we?

USA:

T54E1:

  • Traverse speed on stock tracks nerfed from 44 deg/sec to 38 deg/sec
  • Traverse speed on upgraded tracks nerfed from 46 deg/sec to 40 deg/sec
  • Gun handling on turret traverse for the 105mm buffed by 29%
  • Penetration on 105mm AP buffed from 210mm to 248mm
  • Penetration on 105mm APCR buffed from 255mm to 310mm
  • Top speed nerfed from 43.5 km/h to 35 km/h
  • HP buffed from 1,750 to 1,850*
  • Vehicle class changed to Heavy instead of medium
  • Profitability increased by 7% (one of only tanks to get better profitability)
  • Repair cost decreased by 6% (Also helps with profitability)

*Keep in mind, that since only Tier 1-6 tanks are getting their HP rebalanced, I will mention HP, profitability, repair and ammo changes to Tier 7-10 tanks, since they aren't a part of that rebalance. That makes such changes very notable on those vehicles

T67:

  • Engine power nerfed from 460 HP down to 380 HP (HP/ton effectively nerfed from 31.14 down to 25.72)
  • Gun handling on hull movement and traverse on stock tracks nerfed by 17%
  • Gun handling on hull movement and traverse on upgraded tracks nerfed by 14%
  • Aim time across all guns and turrets nerfed from 1.7 seconds to 1.9 seconds
  • Reverse speed nerfed from 20 km/h to 17 km/h

DW 2:

  • Engine power buffed from 300 HP to 350 HP (HP/ton effectively buffed from 9.97 hp/ton to 11.63 hp/ton)

Marder 38T:

  • Reload on 1st stock 75mm nerfed from 3.4 seconds to 4 seconds (DPM nerfed from 1,998 to 1,673)
  • Reload on 2nd stock 75mm nerfed from 3.2 seconds to 3.8 seconds (DPM nerfed from 2,024 to 1,721)
  • Reload on upgraded 76mm nerfed from 3.6 seconds to 4.3 seconds (DPM from 2,151 to 1,811)
  • Aim time on 2nd stock 75mm nerfed from 1.5 seconds to 1.7 seconds

Pz.Kpfw. 38 (t) (Tier 3 German light):

  • Gun handling on movement and hull traverse nerfed by 10%
  • Accuracy on upgraded 47mm nerfed from 0.37 to 0.39
  • Reload on upgraded 47mm nerfed from 2.3 seconds to 2.5 seconds (DPM from 1,632 to 1,502)
  • Aim time on upgraded 47mm nerfed from 1.7 seconds to 1.9 seconds

Pz.Kpfw. II (Tier 2 German light):

  • Added a new gun (550 DPM, 40 AP pen, 50 APCR pen, 13 alpha, 1.4 second reload, 0.38 accuracy)

This gun has the best AP pen and accuracy out of any of the Pz. II's guns, but the DPM is absolutely tragic. I hope it's a mistake and will have some kind of autoloader mechanic, because otherwise the DPM makes it a gun that people will just skip.

Pz.Kpfw. 1 Ausf. C:

  • Gun handling on turret traverse on upgraded 2cm (Pz. II's gun) buffed by 33%
  • Gun dispersion after shooting for both 2cm guns on both turrets nerfed by 8%
  • Gun dispersion after shooting on 7.92mm gun nerfed by 18%
  • Aim time of 7.92mm gun nerfed from 1.3 seconds to 1.4 seconds
  • Reload between shots in the magazine buffed (lowered) by 20% for all guns

Pz.Kpfw. II Luchs:

  • Gun handling on turret traverse for upgraded 3cm autoloader nerfed by 12%
  • Gun dispersion after shooting for upgraded 3cm autoloader nerfed by 25%
  • Aim time of upgraded 3cm autoloader nerfed from 2.1 seconds to 2.2 seconds
  • Reload between shots in the magazine for upgraded 3cm autoloader buffed (lowered) by 14%

Sturer Emil:

  • Engine power on stock engine buffed from 300 HP to 350 HP (from 8.22 hp/ton to 9.59 hp/ton)

Ironically enough, this means that the stock engine now has more horsepower than the upgraded engine. The current "upgraded" engine only has 310 HP (thus 8.49 hp/ton).

This also means that your traverse speeds on the stock engine compared to the upgraded engine actually improve by 3.8 deg/sec on hard terrain, 3.5 deg/sec on medium terrain, and 1.8 deg/sec on soft terrain.

However, the traverse speeds on the St. Emil with both engines are going to be worse than its current traverse speeds, so it's getting a traverse speed nerf with the update (albeit a very small one).

The only downside to the stock engine is it has less module HP, which means it will be damaged and break more easily… But the upgraded engine already has that problem, so there's really no reason not to just stick with the stock engine.

WarGaming balancing *TM

VK 30.01 (H) (Tier 5 German "Heavy" Tank):

  • Traverse speed on stock tracks buffed from 20 deg/sec to 28 deg/sec
  • Traverse speed on upgraded tracks buffed from 22 deg/sec to 30 deg/sec
  • View Range on stock turret buffed from 330m to 350m
  • Turret traverse on upgraded turret buffed from 24 deg/sec to 28 deg/sec
  • Top speed buffed from 35 km/h to 40 km/h
  • Reverse speed buffed from 12 km/h to 15 km/h
  • Engine power on 1st stock engine buffed from 300 HP to 350 HP (hp/ton from 9.16 to 10.68)
  • Engine power on 2nd stock engine buffed from 375 HP to 440 HP (hp/ton from 11.36 to 13.33)
  • Engine power on upgraded engine buffed from 400 HP to 470 HP (hp/ton from 12.17 to 14.30)
  • Vehicle class changed to Medium from Heavy

Keep in mind that the % increase in engine power over your weakest engine affects your traverse speeds by the same % increase, so this is an even bigger buff to the tank's traverse speeds than just what's listed.

VK 30.01 (P) (Tier 6 German "Medium" Tank):

  • Traverse speed on stock tracks nerfed from 33 deg/sec to 28 deg/sec (Upgraded tracks are unaffected, stock tracks actually had better listed traverse speed than the upgraded tracks, although the reality was more complicated than that…)
  • Turret traverse on stock turret nerfed from 33 deg/sec to 28 deg/sec
  • Turret traverse on upgraded turret nerfed from 28 deg/sec to 23 deg/sec
  • Top speed nerfed from 60 km/h to 45 km/h
  • Reverse speed nerfed from 20 km/h to 12 km/h
  • Vehicle class changed to Heavy from Medium

  • Accuracy for 45mm gun with upgraded turret buffed from 0.46 to 0.45

Really WG? You've barely buffed it at all… It's a thoroughly mediocre Tier 4 tank… It's going to be complete trash now at Tier 5…

Umm… WarGaming… Why are you mostly nerfing the tank…? If you're moving it up a Tier…?

Very few changes to this one, but it was pretty damn OP at Tier 3, so it's understandable; unlike the Cruiser III.

Crusader:

  • Vehicle Tier changed from Tier 5 to Tier 6
  • Gun handling on stock tracks buffed by 8%
  • Gun handling on upgraded tracks buffed by 4%
  • Traverse speed on stock tracks buffed from 38 deg/sec to 40 deg/sec

  • Accuracy on 2-pdr with both turrets buffed from 0.36 to 0.35
  • Reload on 3 inch howitzer buffed from 4.3 seconds to 4.1 seconds (derp gun)

  • Vehicle cost changed from 380,000 credits to 880,000 credits
  • Vehicle class changed to Medium from Light

Pretty small changes for a tank being moved up a full Tier…

Valentine:

  • Traverse speed on stock tracks nerfed from 40 deg/sec to 38 deg/sec

  • Accuracy on 2-pdr gun with both turrets nerfed from 0.36 to 0.38
  • Gun handling on turret traverse for both turrets nerfed by 112%
  • Reload of 2-pdr with stock turret nerfed from 2.1 seconds to 3.2 seconds (DPM from 1,490 to 978)
  • Reload of 2-pdr with upgraded turret nerfed from 2.1 seconds to 3.1 seconds (DPM from 1,490 to 1,009)
  • View Range on stock turret nerfed from 330m to 310m
  • View Range on upgraded turret nerfed from 340m to 320m
  • Turret traverse speed on stock turret nerfed from 44 deg/sec to 36 deg/sec
  • Turret traverse speed on upgraded turret nerfed from 40 deg/sec to 38 deg/sec
  • Vehicle cost changed from 120,000 credits to 40,000 credits

Some really substantial nerfs all across the board, but you have to keep in mind that Tier 3 tanks have Pref MM (can only see up to Tier 4), while Tier 4 tanks have normal MM. This means that you're getting Valentine armor at Tier 3 now, which will make it the most armored tank at Tier 3 outside of the Pz. IIJ.

Valentine AT:

  • Vehicle Tier changed from Tier 3 to Tier 4
  • Gun handling on gun movement for upgraded 6-pdr buffed by 33%
  • Gun dispersion after shooting with upgraded 6-pdr buffed (decreased) by 25%
  • Reload for upgraded 6-pdr buffed from 2.8 seconds to 2.5 seconds (DPM from 1,676 to 1,877)
  • Aiming time for upgraded 6-pdr buffed from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds
  • Accuracy for upgraded 6-pdr buffed from 0.37 to 0.35
  • View Range buffed from 320m to 330m
  • Vehicle cost changed from 34,000 credits to 134,000 credits

  • Removed the 105mm gun
  • Aiming time for the 90mm gun nerfed from 2.3 seconds to 2.7 seconds

Type 1 Chi-He (Tier 4 Japanese Medium Tank):

  • Engine power of stock engine buffed from 200 HP to 220 HP (hp/ton from 11.84 to 13.03)
  • Engine power of upgraded engine buffed from 240 HP to 270 HP (hp/ton from 14.21 to 15.99)

Type 3 Chi-Nu (Tier 5 Japanese Medium Tank):

  • Engine power of stock engine buffed from 240 HP to 270 HP (hp/ton from 12.61 to 14.18)

Type 97 Chi-Ha (Tier 3 Japanese "Medium" Tank):

  • Traverse speed on stock tracks buffed from 30 deg/sec to 40 deg/sec
  • Traverse speed on upgraded tracks buffed from 32 deg/sec to 45 deg/sec
  • Traverse speed on stock turret buffed from 30 deg/sec to 33 deg/sec
  • Traverse speed on upgraded turret buffed from 30 deg/sec to 36 deg/sec
  • Top speed buffed from 40 km/h to 45 km/h
  • Reverse speed buffed from 15 km/h to 18 km/h
  • Engine power on 1st stock engine buffed from 170 HP to 200 HP (hp/ton from 10.63 to 12.51)
  • Engine power on 2nd stock engine buffed from 200 HP to 220 HP (hp/ton from 12.52 to 13.78)
  • Engine power on upgraded engine buffed from 240 HP to 270 HP (hp/ton from 15.03 to 16.91)
  • Vehicle class changing to Light from Medium

Overall some welcome buffs. The tank isn't too bad, but definitely needed the mobility buffs to make it a properly decent tank. Plus because it's becoming a light tank now, its camo values should also see an improvement all across the board.

There you guys go! A comprehensive list of changes that are not related to the HP rebalance.

The most significant changes are to the T54E1, T67, S35 CA, VK.30.01H, VK 30.01 P, the British light tanks and the Japanese Chi-Ha.

The T54E1 is overall getting some significant buffs, but at the cost of its mobility. T67 is getting nerfed all across the board. The S35 CA is seeing its best gun removed. The VK 30.01H is seeing some unusually massive mobility buffs, while the VK 30.01 P is seeing some unusually massive mobility nerfs. The Tier 2-6 British lights are becoming trash-Tier (I suppose in line with the rest of the British lights…) and the Japanese Chi-Ha is becoming surprisingly good now!
