Here we are, the CT just provide the new Type 5 for us and lets see what it can do now. This might not be the final version but come on, who give the F about balance, people just hate this tank and want to delete this tank from game.
The first one is PZ VII.
As you can see, the damage is limited within 450.
Now this 152 mm gun can only do some damage(about 300+) when shooting the connection between the turret and the hull(right below the gun). Also, when you shoot beneath the hull, it can do some damage but no more than 400. If you try to shoot the side, the damage is pathetic and you will get 560+ in return. This is a GG for sure.
Ok, Mr. Maus. When I hit the side armor, I got no pen and no damage for both HE and HESH. Even I shoot the track, it only can do at most 200+ damage.
300-400 for the connection between the turret and the hull(right below the gun).
300+ for the ground under the hull.
200+ for side turret.
Below 100 when RNG want to fk u.
Basically the same situation as Maus but side armor can be pen by 192 HESH.
You can see the damage is a little bit higher because SC loves HE.
Same as IS7 and Maus.
Do not shoot the side. You will get 1200 in return.
Type 5 is totally fucked by the balance team.
OK, we have our new shitter tank.
Type 5 is able to do 300+ damage when shoot the side of Kranvagn. The damage is very stable from 300-400 unless RNG want to f you.
Based on the K only have 300 pen, we could say that Type 5 is capable to fight with Kranvagn.
BTW this K is buffed.
The first shoot I choose to shoot the side and it only do 200+ damage. Well, I remember it used to do 600+ dmg. Now 705A is Type 5's daddy for sure.
Last but not least, the type 5 vs type 5 with super spall liner.Let's jump to the conclusion:
The super spall liner did not at all in this 1v1 case.
Basically the same outcomes with maus.
If you try to shoot the space between the tracks and the hull, it can do either 300+ or 50+ damage.
I did not test all tanks, and I don't think it is necessary. This post roughly tells you what this tank can do now and gives you a basic idea about how much you should be happy.
My personal thoughts about this "re-balance":
- I don't think 140 mm gun is worth considering as a option now. You need have more balls, WG.
2.Type 5 is the worst super heavy now. It cannot trade damage or hold a line. The worst thing is, it cannot be trust as a top tier or a teammate. This tank is a 2900 HP meatball with a gun can only do 300 damage for every 16 seconds.
Type 5 players need to choose either learn to aim to deal 300 damage or shoot carelessly to deal 200+ damage. Very helpful re-balance.
I think old type 5 need a nerf, but not like this. New type 5 reminds me about T22med. This nerf seems to be the outcome after a WG staff played a game and get fucked by type 5. He hates type 5 and he want this tank vanish from this game forever. This is not balance, this is called delete. Very typical WG stuff.
For those who spent 771,500 experience and more than 10,000,000 credits on this line, congrats, WG want you to pay for their mistakes.
It's quite fun, they give this 152 mm gun with 1400 alpha damage in patch 9.17.1 and after so long they finally found out that this gun need a nerf. I really wonder what exactly WG's staffs are so busy working about everyday. It took them 4 month to nerf 2684 and now it took them more than 24 months to nerf type 5. Very interesting.
