Classes are the foundation for any mmo. What your characters strengths/weaknesses are and how your class flows is all important. Taking away from classes, while making the game easier for sure, takes away depth. That depth is what truly keeps people playing the game. Most of the fun comes from knowing my character is interesting to play. Can we really not innovate and come up with a better system to use besides builder/spender. I’m having a hard time thinking of a class that’s not using the builder/spender system besides frost/Fire mage. Why can’t we have something more interesting like a stance dance system for a class. Monk and Druid would be a perfect fit for this!
Blizzard, I think a lot of your fans, both hardcore and casual, agree: dumbing the game down by removing abilities is killing the class system and long term interest in the game. You might make the game easier for new players, but those players won’t stick around if there’s no depth to the character they’re playing. For the sake of the long term, please give us abilities to progress towards in the future. Give us new talent tiers. Maybe even include a legendary talent tier that includes legendary effects from Legion. Something, just give us something to reward us for leveling past 100. Make classes engaging again!
