My dad taught me wow. Now I’m repaying that debt

wow6 - My dad taught me wow. Now I'm repaying that debt

My mom and dad played wow during vanilla – wrath when I was little. During bc when I was 5 my dad would have me farm for him around zangramarsh (outlands). I didn't know what I was doing except running around and farming mobs but I had fun, my dad and mom ran karazhan the day it came out as my mom was a healer and my dad was a tank for their guild on horde silver hand, my dad left to go pee and I hopped on immediately and started talking to his guildies on ventrilo. And the guildies would say hi to me and one close friend of theres named slipz (who has now passed away) would ask me "hey anon, where's your dad?"

I would respond with a excited "bathroom" and talk abt my school and how I was doing etc etc.. At times I would kamikaze and leeroy jenkins into prince and wipe instantly and the guild was ecstatic and laughing at this 5 year old wiping their semi casual guild. I was always excited watching my parents doing anything in the world of azeroth and they created a blood elf hunter for me late bc named "Akue" and I was excited to do my own thing. My older brother gave me 20 gold and I used it to buy skinning knives and sold my green helmet to buy more. Late wrath my parents quit wow and occasionally played once every blue moon but they kept the account on for me to play since it was my favorite since all time even running at 9fps.

Late warlords I started playing more casually with a guild I loved. Of course my computer was my moms old emachines but nonetheless, no matter the graphics or fps I played the game like any normal soul who loved the game. When the bfa prepatch came out it added so much and made it so the computer couldn't download it and couldn't run it after I already spent $70 pre purchasing it. I was really sad as I was excited for bfa and my brother let me play on his pc on launch day but only for the night (I didn't sleep) playing at 60fps was exciting and really mind opening that the game looked like the same game I saw during bc and it was truly breathtaking.

Fast forward not playing bfa (I just didn't wanna do it) and classic was just around the corner so of course I paid for my parents accounts and my mom bought my dad a new pc (pre built I know but they were excited) and they tried out a couple private servers to wait for classic to come out such as ascension, nostalrious etc. Which were run on the classic client and my parents were ecstatic during it all, my parents taught me wow and since I've watched and played wow for so long I had to teach my parents the game again and it made me prideful and smile for a week.

Now even my dad plays on those classic servers and shows me all the cool things hes doing and all the loot hes getting. Time has come full circle and I'm glad I can do the same thing my parents did for me showing me this amazing game. Thanks mom and dad, you set me on this path
