Yesterday's post was cancelled in honor of all the college basketball we never got to see because of the coronavirus. Today, I input Azuma and Shikishima into the GPT-2 neural network using

What the fuck?

Shikinami

A battleship stolen from Gaijin's Sekrit Doku-Ments ))) with none of her statistics changed. Shikinami's main battery had an unrivaled firing range. Despite being a small battleship, she was more than capable of protecting herself from approaching light craft.

Comments on Shikinami

You really had to do Asuka like that? Come on.

Easily the strongest battleship in her tier, Shikinami is capable of flinging lightweight shells out to 30.53 kilometers stock. Range mod improves that to 35.41 kilometers. An active spotter boosts that to 42.49 kilometers. Those are also highly accurate guns, with a 2.35 sigma.

Shikinami seems to be intended to fight at insane ranges, so it's odd that her secondaries are so powerful. With eight Mogami guns, she has the secondary firepower to overwhelm destroyers that come close. Their stock 12-second reload is compensated for by their sheer volume, with four per side evening it back out to one round per second. Her AA is also pretty good, with lots of outer flak bursts for catching planes that get through and strong AA auras to back it up.

Unfortunately, Shikinami's main battery range and self-defense are on top of a ship with terrible survivability for tier XI. Smart play is going to be needed to survive. And by smart play, I mean staying behind the carriers and shooting HE shells at everything. Farming damage on H-44's and scoring plunging fire on Maltas is going to be your whole game.
