Hi all,

Comparison of "Snowflakes 2018" and "Snowflakes 2019" to upcoming "Snowflakes 2020"…

Similar to last year I made comparison of "Snowflakes" events… at the first glance the 2020 looks similar to 2019 and, of course, worse than 2018 …

"Snowflakes 2018":

New Year is a winter holiday, and in many countries it snows pretty heavily during this time of the year! You can expect snowfalls in World of Warships, too! Snowflakes, a new in-game event, will bring you Coal and Steel for use in the Arsenal. In Update 0.7.12 Snowflakes will appear on many of your ships. They work like stars, that give you a one-time daily bonus for a victorious battle. Snowflakes, however, can be blown off your ships only once during Update 0.7.12.

Snowflakes will be displayed in the ships carousel in the Port next to stars, so you can easily see whether you have received your bonus for a certain ship or not. If a Snowflake is still there, it's high time to "knock it down"!The event will be available for all players, but keep in mind that in order to use the resources in the Arsenal you need to have reached at least Level 8 in your Service Record. Snowflakes will appear on researchable ships of Tiers V to X, as well as on Premium and event ships of Tiers II to X. Ships obtained in Update 0.7.12, i.e. those purchased, bought, or received in containers, will provide the New Year bonus, too.To get the bonus, simply win one Co-op, Random, Ranked or Scenario Battle. Blowing off Snowflakes will be rewarded with Coal and Steel. The type and amount of the resources varies depending on the type and tier of each ship.

Please note that if you get 0 XP for a battle, a Snowflake is not treated as "blown off" and remains on the ship.

"Snowflakes 2019":

Rewards for Snowflakes

In line with our traditions, ships of Tier V and above will feature Snowflakes with holiday bonuses. Throughout Update 0.8.11, the first victorious battles with each of these ships will reward you as follows:- Ships of Tier V–VII will bring you 400-750 Coal.- Ships of Tier VIII–IX will bring you 75 Steel.- Ships of Tier X will bring a Santa's Gift container which can drop doubloons, Free XP, Coal, and other goodies. If luck is on your side, you might even get a Premium ship!

Please note: a Snowflake can be ‘blown off’ a ship only once during Update 0.8.11.

Upcoming "Snowflakes 2020":

Celebrating the New Year in Update 0.9.12New Year – time for gifts. This time we have prepared for you many rewards and activities!"Snowflakes"During the celebration of the new year, players will be able to get traditional holiday bonuses on all their ships starting from Tier V. Now you can "shoot down a snowflake" or either by winning the battle or by gaining a certain amount of base experience. Starting with the update 0.9.11 this rule will also apply to a bonus for resetting a branch in the Research Bureau."Snowflakes" on all ships of Tiers V-VII will bring 400-750 units of Coal, VIII-IX – 75 units of Steel, and on Tier X ships you can earn "Santa's gift" containers, from which with a certain probability you can get one of the many premium ships and other rewards. note:

The "Snowflake" can only be shot down once during the 0.9.12 and 0.10.0 updates in all types of battle except training battles.
