The Following Merit a Manual Chat Ban from WG

WorldOfWarships3 - The Following Merit a Manual Chat Ban from WG

I got two manual chat bans within a week. These aren't the bans that come from in-game reporting. Someone had to report this directly to WG and then they had to dig through my chat history.

The precise language of the ban message reads "You have been suspended from sending chat messages until <>. Reason: Insults, personal attacks, abuse of harassment or typing in such a way to bypass the censor filter. (R)."

WG gave me the following examples of language used. Since they don't make it clear what is banned and what isn't, this might be of use to some of you and to encourage the use of euphemisms to avoid the wrath of the game's Soviet overlords.

  • Synpax 2018-12-03 01:07:57 in your mom's tampons (the context was a jovial back-and-forth, not an insult)

  • Synpax 2018-12-03 01:07:08 garbage player"

  • *Synpax 07.12.2018 10:08 our CV was what caused this bullshit * (in reference to a 5v5 random game)

  • Synpax 07.12.2018 10:00 again, fu*ked by CVs

  • Synpax 07.12.2018 13:55 don't be a shitter man. I know you just got that boat in a crate but I have it and can cap and spot and do all kinds of stuff with a 70k avg (Said to a new Assashio player who initially refused to help with a cap and then opted to help an was a great asset to the team)

  • Synpax 07.12.2018 14:38 I saw him snuggle up to me in my position and, well, shit.

  • *Synpax 07.12.2018 11:16 3000 battles n the enterprise….. holy shit *

I've been playing for a long time and this is the first time I've seen a crackdown on 'shit,' (which I think is in their bad word filter?) Also, 'garbage' is apparently banned, along with 'retard.'

Not here to make excuses, just to marvel at the evolving, invisible policy from WG and to see the evolution of euphemisms at they try to catch up with banning those, too ('special'/'questionable'/'wtf'/etc.)
