This guy gets it!

This guy hits the nail on the head.
Before I start, I want to dispel some arguments I've seen here that would be opposed to this suggestion. The first one I've seen is "X gun would be too good with Stock". This is an absolutely myopic way of looking at this. For the past I think six Call Of Dutys, Stock has been available to every AR and LMG in some form. Have you ever heard someone complain about a gun being too strong and they mention its ability to have stock as an argument? I've literally never heard this, this is just a bad argument.
The second argument I've heard is "Well Treyarch wants certain guns to fill certain roles, and Stock doesn't fit with that role". Do you guys remember Divisions in WW2 and how everyone hated them and wanted pick 10 back? The reason was because no one likes to be pidgeonholed into a playstyle. The reason Black Ops 2 and 3 had fantastic Create a Class systems is because you could mold them to fit the playstyle you want. Want to rush with an LMG with Lightweight and Quickdraw+Stock? You can do that. It was a sandbox which is why those CaC systems were so great.
My last point would be that Stock not being available just isn't fun. Fun factor has to go into balance as well which is why Body Armor got nerfed. Was it broken? Not really, it was just extremely un-fun to lose to. Stock allows you freedom with movement, allows you to strafe which actually takes skill. Moving from left to right while keeping on target is extremely satisfying, to those who've gotten in strafe wars you know how much your aiming skills get challenged.
In conclusion, PLEASE TREYARCH, don't pidgeonhole us into playstyles. WW2 tried that with divisions and no one liked it.
© Post "Stock should be available on all ARs. I think stock should be more effective on weapons that are meant to be more offensive, and less effective on the ‘defensive’ rifles. Not being able to strafe at all during a gunfight puts you at a massive disadvantage and is really less fun as well." for game CoD: Black Ops 4.
