This is how I view the VMP from MY perspective:
If you wanna use the VMP, go ahead. I have absolutely no problem with that.
I know my skill level, I know how to mauver around certain weapons, so do you. Just because you run the VMP doesn't always mean you're gonna win, nor does it mean you're gonna outperform me.
Besesides, who am I to tell you what you should and shouldn't use? It's Call of Duty, do whatever the fuck you please. I've been playing since MW2, I've seen worse. Nothing more frustrating than lobbies ful of noobtubes and guns with stopping power am I right?
Now that's just me, so don't take that as gospel or take it as if I'm targeting any specific group. That's just my opinion, and that's the mentality I have while playing.
But in terms of overall gameplay and just trying to play for fun, or friendly competition, that's a completely different story.
It's so damn frustrating to get into a lobby and see a party of like 3-4 people using VMPs, spamming streaks every few seconds. And people always try to swing that bullcrap argument of, "Just run XY or Z, and counter the streaks and you'll be good. I'm sorry, that that doesn't fix anything. There's no possible way in hell to counter streaks in these types of lobbies, nor is it possible to truly lock down any part of the map in these types of lobbies.
You can do but so much to try to hold your ground, but eventually, it just becomes too much. You can try to take out their streaks, but you'll literally be spending the entire match sitting in the back of the map trying to take out their stuff. You can use Zero, but 90% of the time you can't hack anything because these dudes will hunt you down almost instantly.
And I know someone is thinking, "W-w-w-well this happens all the time, and the VMP isn't really that OP. Plus, dudes act like this with any gun in the game."
You're right, it does happen all the time. But the VMP just amplifies all of what I said by 10. Then on top of that, this shit happens like every other game on some days. It just drains your energy. It's different to get in lobbies like this when they're using base weapons, but it's another when they're doing this shit with a black market weapon…which not everyone has access to.
It's obvious the VMP is broken, just as broken as it's BO3 counterpart. I'm sick of people saying it's not when it clearly is. So when 3-4 dudes on one team are using them, YES, it's going to be an issue to some degree. The shit has the literal exact same issues it did on BO3, and there's no denying it.
I just try to suck it up and deal with it, but some games it's just so damn in your face to the point where you just wanna leave.
Some games you can't even freaking walk outside because they have a streak in the air at all times, and you know you can easily lose a gunfight because half of them are using the VMP.
Whew, I guess that was a very necessary vent on my end. I don't even care if people bash me for this, but I feel like it needs to be said by someone. This shit has been building up inside me for months now, but I feel like today was just the breaking point for me.
