Where everything started, the farm. It seems like only yesterday, 2,000 hours ago, that I was level 3.

This method works if you have 2 or more characters, I recommend 3 for the fastest power leveling however. The way it works is as follows.

As an example, you are the average guardian. You LOVE your main, and you would never ever betray it, but that doesn't mean that you don't have other characters. Like many others, you have a Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. For this example, let's say that you main a Titan, you don't mind a Hunter, and you HATE your Warlock. If you want your main, (Titan), to be your highest power, then you need to start on your least favorite character. The order would look as follows;

  1. Warlock – 650
  2. Hunter – 650
  3. Titan – 650

All three are 650 power, and you're wondering where you should start. In this scenario, start on your Warlock, and do your Raids first. Doing your raids, ( Last Wish & Scourge of the Past ), will drop you extremely high power drops, which will help your average power level go up. Doing this may result in some of your gear still being 650, and other gear being 660 or higher.

Warlock Helmet – 660
Warlock Arms – 650
Warlock Chest – 664
Warlock Legs – 658
Warlock Bond – 650

Kinetic – 660
Energy – 660
Power – 660

The Warlock Arms and the Warlock Bond are still 650, so what do you do so that you can save your other very powerful drops? Do your smaller power drops. This is confusing to many players, as Bungie doesn't really explain how the power drops work.

RAIDS will drop you the most Powerful gear, as well as the TIER 4 BLIND WELL, SHATTERED THRONE, and Petra Bounties. There is an order to doing your milestones. If all three of your characters are the same power level, start with your most powerful drops to give yourself that initial boost forward. Once you start the momentum the pace keeps on picking up. After that, you should do your smaller power milestones to catch your lower gear up to par with your higher gear. The order for this should be as follows.

Milestones and the order to complete them in.

Last Wish
( 5 Powerful Drops )
Scourge of the Past
( 3 Powerful Drops )

OPTIONAL – Shattered Throne
( 3 Powerful Drops )

Petra Bounties / Ascendant Challenge / Tier 4 Blind Well
( 6 Powerful Drops )

Vanguard Milestones
( 4-5 Powerful Drops )

Gambit Milestones
( 4-5 Powerful Drops )

Crucible Milestones
( 1-2 Powerful Drops )

Tower Milestones / Clan Milestones / Raid Bounties
( 7-8 Powerful Drops )

SAVE BLACK ARMORY CONTENT FOR LAST.
( 1-2 Powerful Drops )

The reason you save the Black Armory content for last is because your WEAPONS are the one item that is able to be used by every character you own. Your WEAPONS determine the "Boost" your other character's power will get when you transfer them to said character. If your guns fall behind your gear during your milestone grinding, BLACK ARMORY POWERFUL FRAMES WILL SAVE YOU! These will even your guns out, and after your first character, you should end up with 667-670 Weapons if you get lucky.

and anything left over is up to you.

SECOND CHARACTER

This time around, things are different. Your guns will be 670 power, but your Hunter ( second character's ) gear, will still be at 650. Drill this into your mind, and when I say it, I mean it,

DO NOT DO YOUR RAIDS OR EXTREMELY POWERFUL DROPS ON YOUR SECOND CHARACTER FIRST THING!
Doing this would waste your chances to boost your guns up to potentially 680-685+

This time around, your milestone roadmap will look BACKWARDS to your previous roadmap. You want to do your milestones in the following order;

Vanguard Milestones
( 4-5 Powerful Drops )

Gambit Milestones
( 4-5 Powerful Drops )

Crucible Milestones
( 1-2 Powerful Drops )

Tower Milestones / Clan Milestones / Raid Bounties
( 7-8 Powerful Drops )

Last Wish
( 5 Powerful Drops )
Scourge of the Past
( 3 Powerful Drops )

OPTIONAL – Shattered Throne
( 3 Powerful Drops )

SAVE BLACK ARMORY CONTENT FOR LAST.
( 1-2 Powerful Drops )

and anything left over is up to you, again.

Doing things in this order will enable you to catch your gear up to your guns, and then to BOOST your guns way ahead of your gear, if you get lucky, you'll end up in the 680-685 range. This allows your third character, ( Titan ), which is your main, to then hold 685 Weapons, without even doing any work! On your main, you'll want to do the same exact thing as your second, and where you end up is where you end up! If you get lucky, between powerful milestones and Prime Engrams, you might even get your first 700 weapon!
