The Disgraced GrandMaster Walkthrough (In Depth)

This is not the only way to complete the GrandMaster, but here's what I found to be simple for any fireteam. So let's start 🙂 Full Vid Breakdown

Nightfall Ordeal – The Disgraced Modifiers

  • Fire Pit – When defeated, Acolytes spawn fire pools that cause damage over time
  • Champions: Unstoppable – This mode contains Unstoppable Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Unstoppable mod.
  • Champions: Barrier – This mode contains Barrier Champions, which cannot be stopped without an Anti-Barrier mod.
  • Chaff – Radar is disabled.
  • GrandMaster Modifiers – Contest, Join In Progress Disabled, Champions:Mob, Locked Loadout, Match Game, Extra Shields.
  • Match Game – Enemy shields are highly resistant to all unmatched elemental damage. Arc and Solar shields (knights and wizards)
  • Equipment Locked – You will not be able to change your equipment after this activity starts.
  • Extinguish – If your fireteam falls in a Restricted Zone, everyone is returned to orbit.
  • Limited Revives – Limited fireteam revives, Gain additional revives by defeating Champions (20 Max).
  • Champions: MOB – This mode contains additional Champions.
  • Navota's Abandon – Incoming Arc and Environmental damage increased (Concussive Dampener is nice)

Suggestions for Team Synergies

Honestly any team synergy will work as long as you can control an area with either a well or sentinel. This nightfall is pretty smooth and the timer is very reasonable. I also recommend well because there are a few barrier servitors and you can shoot the enemies they tether to , while standing in well.

Team A: Main Goal, Orb chain for supers and resistance.

  • Titan Void (Code of the Commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible

Team B: Main Goal, survivability in each room, freeze and push

  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Warlock (Shadebinder)(Verity Brow or Eye of Another World) Duskfield Grenades, Whisper of Hedrons, Whisper of Durance, Whisper of Fissures, Whisper of Shards

Team C: Main Goal, survivability in each room, orb chain. Finished first try with this one

  • Hunter (Way of the Pathfinder) + Assassin Cowl (video breakdown here) I'd recommend a Mobility/Discpline if possible
  • Titan Void (Code of the Commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible

Team D: Main Goal, Same as B but with two Titans.

  • Titan Void (Code of the Commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Titan Void (Code of the Commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Hunter (Way of the Pathfinder) + Assassin Cowl (video breakdown

    ) I'd recommend a Mobility/Discipline build if possible

Team E: A very strong and aggressive team composition

  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Titan Void (Code of the Commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Titan Void (Code of the Commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets), High Intellect 100 if possible

Team F: Freezing Lovers

  • Warlock (Shadebinder)(Verity Brow or Eye of Another World) Duskfield Grenades, Whisper of Hedrons, Whisper of Durance, Whisper of Fissures, Whisper of Shards
  • Titan Void (Code of the Commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible

Team G: Same as Freezing Lovers but substitute Hunter

  • Hunter (Revenant)(Assassin Cowl) Whisper of Hedrons, Whisper of Durance
  • Titan Void (Code of the commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible

Team H:

  • Titan Void (Code of the commander) + Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Gauntlets) , High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Warlock Solar (Attunement of Grace) + Phoenix Protocol (Exotic Chest Piece), High Intellect 100 if possible
  • Hunter Void (Way of the Trapper) + Orpheus Rig (Exotic Boots), High Intellect 100 if possible

Now, there are plenty of team synergies that can work, especially with players who are experienced. It doesn't have to be any of these subclasses, these are just the combinations I found most effective.

Suggestions on Weapons

Exotics

  • Anarchy would be top priority for this (simple 2 shots on target then switch). I have a guide if needed on how to properly use Anarchy
  • Xenophage for long range and clearing out crowds of Fallen Vandals and Dregs (only one recommended honestly; 2 anarchy, 1 Xeno is what I normally recommend)
  • Tractor Cannon on an invisible hunter subclass with unstoppable mod, this would be fun if youre running spoils of war
  • Cloudstrike + Divinity Combo with this option , running special finisher and a rapid fire frame lmg from Europa should be a neat loadout Side note, you can switch one out for Borealis if you need to cover multiple burns.
  • Riskrunner Okay hear me out, this is actually really fun with a verity brow warlock since it gives you an overshield and ramps up to clear enemies with extra damage. Ideally Stasis Warlock, Verity Brow/Arc resistance/ Concussive Dampener, Slug shotgun and Thermal Erosion with Wellspring Perk.

Legendaries

I would highly recommend having a synergy of someone covering each Champion mod (2 on Barriers and 1 on Unstoppables). I would say there are more Barriers then Unstoppables – 16 Barriers, 3 Unstoppables

  • Pulse rifles (Anti-Barrier Mod) Any slot – I like it because of range
  • Hand Cannons (Unstoppable Mod) Explosive Payload if possible
  • Sniper rifles (Vorpal and Major Spec highly recommended)
  • **Machine Guns
  • Arc and Solar Shields

Abilities and Mods

  • Spoils of War (Heavy ammo mod that spawns heavy for you and your fireteam by defeating a champion with a Finisher) –
  • Arc Resistance and Concussive Dampener (chest Mod)
  • Concussive Dampener + Melee Resistance or Sniper Damage Resistance (if having issues with vandal snipers)
  • Warmind build (breakdown of mods

) or Charged With Light build (breakdown of mods

) possibly. I normally run a high energy fire build.
  • Dynamo if possible to squeeze into build (on helmets)

Tips for Strike

First Area 3 Barrier Champions Servitors

Sometimes when you land, there is a flag that you can rally to, so you can start out with supers. I usually try to focus on the right side of the room first, there are a few vandals snipers in the right corner, straight ahead are more snipers and a captain with an arc shield. Usually the two barrier servitors will push you, I recommend getting ready of snipers, whether with grenades, anarchy, sniping. After that wave, shanks and marauders will come out of the right as well, be prepared, they will charge inside. Once that side is clear, proceed to the left, more enemies will come from the middle stairs with a barrier servitor champ, once cleared, proceed to next room.

Second Area 2 Barrier Champions Servitors, 4 Barrier Champion Knights

There will be 2 barrier servitors and vandals when you get here, one Servitor will go outside to fight hive which gives you enough time to focus on the one in the room. Once room is clear, I would recommend taking out the wizards first then using either well or sentinel shield to push up as you clear enemies, the left boomer champion knight can be irritating since he loves to spam you with shots and falls down after being hit, the better path is to clear the right side and that knight , so you can have a clear line in sight.

Third Area 2 Barrier Champions Servitors

Next area has 2 Barrier Champions Servitors who are accompanied by a few vandals and marauders, use distance as an advantage, because of servitors tethering the enemies can be a bit annoying, after that is cleared two vandals snipers are in the end of the hallway.

Fourth Area

Open world on the Cosmodrome, you can just ignore the enemies and run through, sometimes there is even a flag there to rally to.

Fifth Area 5 Barrier Champions Knights

After scanning, door opens, run into room with Boss . Break solar shield, do a bit damage so boss can leave or you can ignore boss, use left side of backroom to cover yourself and work on the first two barrier knights and thralls. Then moving up, there are two wizards with solar shields in the right side corner followed with cursed thralls. Right around the corner , there is an unstoppable ogre , boomer barrier knight up top on pillar and regular knights. Focus on ogre, there is a spot you can peak through to shoot, after work on barrier knight , here is where having a pulse really does help with breaking his shield because of range. As you move up there are acolytes, Thralls and 2 more Barrier Champion Knights before boss room, I would suggest making heavy off the last two if running spoils of war.

Boss Room Area

Full Sequence

  • Enter room, Boss is in the room, clear enemies, do damage to boss, thralls spawn in.
  • Once Boss is pushed, Knights and acolytes spawn, there is an area on the left side of the room, it will be shown in video. Most enemies do not come up there, so you can use it throughout the fight.,
  • After clearing the enemies and doing damage to the boss, it leaves. Acolytes and 1 Unstoppable Ogre Spawn in.
  • Boss comes back, you do damage. Once pushed, two ogres (1 Regular/ 1 Unstoppable) spawn in the general section of the room in the back where the chest spawns in at.
  • Ogres Dies, Boss comes back and you go for the kill, during this phase, thralls/cursed thralls will be spawning in waves and pushing you.

Thank you very much for reading this, See you guys next week 🙂
