"But Stasis is NOT the same as Omolon's liquid coolant!!!" – Ghost, Aegon-23's ghost
Exotic / Power / Solar / Sword
- The Third Law (Exotic Intrinsic Perk): Lightweight frame. Fast movement and quick strikes. Use
to launch a dash attack. Guarding with this sword creates a small stasis field, slowing combatants.
- Hungry Edge: Increased sword ammo (66).
- Infinite Guard: Sword guard has balanced defenses and maximized endurance.
- Chain Reaction: Each final blow with this weapon creates an elemental damage explosion.
"You mean to say there's another solar sword in Europa? I thought the Young Wolf already has one made by Bansh—"
"No, no, no, I'm making one," Aegon-23 interrupted Ghost as he buckled his seatbelt. "Saladin's poster child has a bulky loud chainsaw. This one? Oh boy. White-hot energy blade. Light and compact hilt. Quiet too. No one'll ever see you coming. Those spare Omolon parts cost me an arm. They'd have taken my leg too if I didn't haggle!"
Their jumpship roars warp jumps to Europa.
"You traumatized those black market traders!"
"Well, I'm sorry—aren't the Fallen supposed to eat human parts?"
"Those were Awoken!"
He chuckled apologetically. His disturbingly twisted of humor was very concerning.
"Also wasn't that faster than actually trading glimmer? Especially not from that Fallen Merchant who seems to take a liking to your shell."
"I'm equally astounded and afraid of what you'll think of next. I'd honestly rather you joined those crazy Thanatonauts this past weekend. Nice people. I heard Saint-14 even gave them swo—"
"First of all, I'm still unlicensed," the Warlock interjects. "I know you'd rather rez my arm than rez my entire body fifty times in an hour. And besides, Saint was giving away a shotgun out of pity. Not the sword."

They whiz past several guardians wailing their swords on a frozen Fallen Brig, its red hot core piercing through the blizzard.
"See that, Ghost? That's the idea, but y'know, with a little more finessing. We just need one more part."Загрузка...
"…Your driving could use some finesse."
"For the thousandth time, I'm sorry about the arm!"
"Please never remind me of that image ever again," an exasperated Ghost pleads as they arrive at Riis-Reborn.

"Even though it's sanctioned in the Crucible, I still don't like the idea of you using the Darkness. I thought you needed more Omolon parts?" Ghost hovers over his guardian's shoulder.
"Nope. Not Omolon." He shoves the stasis shard inside the blade hilt through the emitter assembly. "Pyreliophorite crystals are running way too hot in something this compact."
"Why didn't we just use their proprietary liquid coolant instead?"
"…because then I'd have to 'reload' this sword every five swings," air-quoting as he ignites the energy blade. It buzzes erratically, orange sparks crackling ever so often.
"That is definitely not quiet. Nor does it look stable. Wait, this thing is solar, right? Then why does it feel chilly?"
Ghost would've let out a sigh if he could.
I've had this idea for a while now.
Another dual-element exotic, poorly-engineered from dismantled spare parts by a crackpot, borderline-sociopathic Warlock. His ghost being the only one keeping him from going over the edge.
Imagine Sola's Scar and a Duskfield grenade had a lightsaber lovechild. Its guard attack would be similar to how Ruinous Effigy's drain works, but with a smaller radius, and slows targets instead. Once targets are frozen, you blow everything up in the room! So this is definitely more of a utility/add-clear exotic rather than a top DPS contender. We already have Lament for that.
Also, the smaller slow radius (smaller than a duskfield!) will just make you a sitting duck in PVP if you even attempt to use it.
I mean it's a lightsaber. Wouldn't an energy sword make the most sense with how Destiny swords need ammo?
Anyway, I had way too much fun making up the lore and mock-up for this. I hope we get more reasonable stasis exotics/weapons soon, seeing as Stasis has very limited to no synergy when it comes to the new Elemental Well mods. Let me know what you think!
