I know there are hundreds of FPS related posts but I really have tried everything and its really really frustrating, and I don't know why but I have the feeling this is something very stupid that I´m missing and maybe someone has solved this in their PC.
Every 10 minutes in the game or so, frames drop out of nowhere, (55-70fps to 25-15fps) no matter what situation I'm in. This lasts for at least 5 minutes, then frames go up out of nowhere (you can feel the massive smoothness changing, and I have FPS counter in the top right corner).
-This is the only game in my PC that has the problem.
-This has happened since forever. With a pirated copy in the early days and my current Steam copy.
-This happens in every kind of settings (from the lowest all the way to ultra).
-I play with mid-high settings. Every time I play, I close GTA Launcher in activity monitor to have a frame boost from 35-40 fps to 55-65 fps.
-Yes, I´ve tried with vsync on and off (from gta settings and nvidia settings). I have it on because I recently bought a 75hz monitor and I wish play with constant 75fps. But this happens with my 60hz laptop monitor too.
-Yes, my drivers are all up to date. This is a problem I´ve been having since 4 years ago. A lot of updates and upgrades have happened since then.
-Yes, the temperatures are fine. I had run all kinda tests and it has normal temperature levels while playing. A little bit up, but I know its normal for such CPU demanding game. (I have a double fan cooler tho).
-No, I don't have any kind of antivitrus software running in the background. Not even windows defender.
-No demanding activities running on the background.
-My laptop is all configured for best performance because I´m a FPS freak. But this problem is more annoying than you think. I swear.
