Since I’ve had it with people who believes they are telling facts when they don’t even test them, I’ve studied the “busted” myth (by a youtube channel, please verify what you are saying before posting as many of these people will easily believe you) of crit boost, increasing or affecting the multiplier of crit element.
I’m not a math afficionado. But I hope this will do to clear things up. Used the technique suggested in crit boost (text fixed) thread.
Crit boost does not in any way affect the multiplier of crit element. What you see or believe to be is the additive effect of crit boost and crit element, showing the total damage.
TLDCL (too long, didn’t check link) Used odo lance against the training post for simple demonstration. Crit damage of odo lance with no armor skills = 50 Crit damage of odo lance with crit boost = 52 Crit damage of odo lance awakened = 57 Crit damage of odo lance awakened with crit element = 59 Crit damage of odo lance awakened with crit element and crit boost = 61
Notes: Rounded up additional damage due to crit boost from non-boosted = 2 Rounded up additional damage of awakened lance (fire element included in the total damage) = 7 Rounded up additional damage of awakened lance with crit element = 2 Crit damage due to crit boost and crit element: 50 (base crit) + 7 (fire damage) + 2 (crit boost) + 2 (crit element) = 61
Feel free to have discussion in the comments. If you want to disprove me or anything, just show your proof. Getting tired of anecdotal evidences.
