Hunters new and old.
The Adopt-A-Hunter initiative is here again to lend a hand to new hunters, and ask for help from series veterans!
Some of you may know who we are already, and if so – that's awesome! If you're already a part of our community, even more awesome!
At the moment we are in dire need of PC veterans to assist our growing number of novices, as we are woefully short. So please, if you or anybody you know has the desire to teach a new hunter how to be the very best, like no one ever was – come join.
For those of you who don't know who we are or what we do, here's a quick summary;
Adopt-A-Hunter is a discord community of Monster Hunter fans new and old where series veterans adopt brand new, "novice" hunters who are feeling lost or overwhelmed by the information overload, taking them under their wing to teach them the basics and pass on the knowledge a new hunter needs to feel confident and comfortable playing on their own or with a group.
Many new hunters may feel uncomfortable asking questions, or worry about being ridiculed or demonized for being new and inexperienced. On the other side, some older hunters give off an elitist and exclusionary mentality that would only serve to drive away potential new fans of the series.
This community was started to help ease the burden of knowledge and help to tackle the sometimes prohibitive barrier of entry, acting as a positive and welcoming environment to gain familiarity and proficiency with Monster Hunter
We aren't here to carry you, or to win for you. We want to help you to gain a better understanding of what went wrong, how to do it better, and to let you know that it's totally ok to fail. Hell, most of us have failed more times than we care to remember, and sometimes in the most embarrassing of ways (looking at you Rhenoplos, Bullfango, and Konchu).
Over the last 14 years the Monster Hunter community has grown and expanded to become one of the most inclusive, welcoming, and helpful online gaming communities that we have ever had the pleasure to be a part of, and we'd like to keep it that way by extending our hands out to you to help guide you to becoming a more complete hunter.
We currently support Monster Hunter: World across all 3 platforms, and will be expanding our "services" to the soon-to-be-released Monster Hunter Generations: Ultimate on the Switch as well.
I'm sure some of you have lots of questions, and we would be happy to answer them all (if they haven't already be answered) by inviting you to join the program.
You can find our signup sheets, discord invite, FAQs, official Twitter, and more at adoptahunter.org
Additional questions, comments, or concerns can be directed to our wonderfully capable discord moderation team
