Monster Hunter World

This is probably a dumb question and I feel dumb for posting, but it has been bugging me. Has a Deviljho actually ever eaten its own tail?

The reason I am asking this is because long ago, when Tri was relevant, I read this post on Gamefaqs: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/943655-monster-hunter-tri/55490309

The OP of that thread asks if it is true that Deviljho will sometimes eat its own tail. The first reply, by Gfaqs user Hellcatcher1541, states "yes, make sure to hide a tainted/drugged meat inside his tail first…" When I initially read that reply years ago, I was under the impression that Hellcatcher1541 was being sarcastic, and that people would plant meat in the tail, as a joke, to make it look like Jho was eating the tail. Ever since then, I have been planting meat in the tail to continue the joke. And I assumed there were other hunters that were "in the know" and did the same thing for the memes.

And now today, it seems like it is pretty common knowledge that a Jho will eat its own tail, even I believe it. But I have my doubts because of that old Gfaqs post, and the fact that I have only ever seen a Jho eat its "tail" after I planted meat on it. I Googled around a bit to see if I can find concrete evidence of this occurrence. But I can't seem to find any videos of it and all the text sources from other hunters do not address the fact that meat could have been planted.

So I guess my question to the community is, has anyone ever seen Jho eat its own severed tail? Can anyone 100% confirm that there was no planted meat when it happened? If there is any video evidence floating around online, can you link it?

Thanks
